I've a little? Incident to share with you people today. It's about Pick-pocketing. I went to market today for a little shopping. And after shopping I was on the way to my home <3. Then I was waiting for a public transport, I saw four people where near me, maybe following me. Also trying to get into the same transport that I want to get in. However the 1st transport was going little fast, And I'm not in a rush to get in that bus, just let it go. Then I saw one of them rushed into that 1st bus and when he saw, I didn't get in that bus. Then that guy jumped of the bus. I still don't know and I've no idea that I'm about to get robbed! And then 2nd bus came in and it stopped right in front of me and the same guy rushed in front of me and then we both get into the bus and the other three was behind me. There was enough space on that bus, but that guy in front me was not letting me pass so that I can't go to back side of the bus. After that one of the three people that were behind, pushed me a little. And here comes the climax. I always check my pocket and wallet after someone push me on the bus or someone is passing by me on the bass. And I put my hand on my back pocket, I felt my money bag, then put my hand on the right side of the front pocket where I put my phone with always a headphone jack is connected. Because I always hear very loud music on the bus to ignore noises around me and the usual road constructions noise and also to prevent pick pocketing. I felt my mobile was not inside my pocket. My temper on that moment went extremely high that. If I'd a weapon that time, I would have differently killed that guy. However I always try to control my ego and temper, and that time my self control was working great, I told my self to clam down a little bit. But still I have shouted at the suspect so **ing hard that, every people on that transport was starring at me. Like what the fk just happened??? And told that suspect to give me my damn ing phone back, in extremely threatening voice. If you are thinking about not returning me my phone then trust me you are gonna regret this a lot!!!! That suspect where locking left and right so ing fast that. Then my doubt came into reality that, This is the er who pulled my phone of my pocket. That shit was like, ME???? And I was like yes you **R!!!!!!!!! Give me my phone back and said A lot of bullshit, and he was like already pissed off :D And dropped my phone on the bus, Like no one would notice. After that someone from the public - I don't know, said Hey someone dropped there phone, who's phone is this??? Then one of the people on bus handed over me my beloved phone. that time I was in a great relief :). After a deep breath. I said a loads of bullshit again to all four of them, And those thief was talking like ba ba ba ba ba like they shitted on there pants, Can't understand a single word, like they thought this is the end. And still no one from the public on that bus, wasn't saying a single word to those thief. I told those shits to stay on the bus and drop on my location, If you really want a fair fight XD .After that I backed off a little to safety, cause I've brought some new stuffs for me and my father. And if I rage on those guys anyone from public can steal my stuffs. As-long as I got my phone back and my stuffs are in good condition, I decided to not argue with those shits anymore! Then some of the public was arguing with those thief and all four of them jumped of the bus and acting like they were insulted and was trying to break the glass of the bus and also trying to toss some rock at me. I was just standing still, right by the *ing window and saying, If you got the guts just try it. And then all of a sudden they despaired. Once again I've saved myself from getting robbed, like a ing man! And I'm proud of it! ;) Hell yeah!!!

PS : I just cut the story a little short XD there was some funny moment also!
There might me some grammar or spelling mistake on this post/thread. I'm a little tried right now, So pardon me!

Rip my beloved phone/stuff, I still miss her :(

I'm really happy to hear that you prevented this shit from stealing your phone! :D These things happen a lot here in Greece (they recently caught a big gang of pickpockets of train passengers here), so I always have my hands touching my pockets. xD I'll never stop touching my pockets, so nobody will even try of pickpocketing me. Grrr, I hate thieves. >:(

I used to ride public transit a lot, and saw some really messed up people. Thankfully I was never pick-pocketed, but I certainly saw more then a few drug addicts, religious fanatics (the kind that scream at everyone they see about how judgement is coming), people with major deformities (saw one guy with what looked like a partially developed 3rd arm), and all sorts of other weird shit.

I don't ride public transit anymore.

These shits happen every day in Greece. :P Still, what's wrong about deformities? o.O It's not their fault they're deformed.

Oh I didn't mean to imply it was their fault or anything like that. Just thought it was something interesting to point out.
Actually, when I was a kid one of my friends was born without all of his fingers. iirc it never really bothered him, or anyone else that knew him. Was just kind of a 'whoa!' sort of thing the first time you see it.

Nope they were not lack of pickpocket skill according to me. Usually it's hard to bypass from a pickpocket attempt when it's a group, like happened to me today. As I've heard some stories from other victim. I try to keep that in mind and always try to be aware of that, when I'm walking on the street or in a public transport. And if you are unlucky, you may lose your life!!! And the guards be like, give them some cash on their hand, You are free to go. :D

Did you not proceed to beat his ass harder than an obese sex addict's heart at an all ladies nudist hotdog eating contest?

It's very common in my country where thief group like I explained here on my post. They often accuse the owner as the thief and change the whole situation after that they beat the shit of him, steal all his stuffs and public also join to beat the shit of the Owner XD. I was fully aware of that. And trust me not a single person on that bus came ahead to support me there. I was felling all alone on a fully loaded bus, But not a coward tho, I did raged hard on those thieves after I realized my phone was not in my pocket. And just because of that rage I got my phone back! Glad that my self control and my mind was working great at that time hah ha. And when the thieves left, as usual the public talks like, I should have beat them and bla bla, which I would, If I didn't had the stuff that I just bought today :).And I didn't let those public let go with those fairy tales talks. I did said something that shut all of there mouths, and they felt ashamed :D

I was on my honeymoon in a less civilized country. We could use our credit cards for the local currency, but incurred a surcharge if we did, so we tried to carry a small amount of cash for little things. We were trying to find a specific out-of-the way spot, but were having trouble. We stopped and asked for directions, but instead of giving us directions, a young local man offered to lead us there, riding along in our vehicle. We fully expected to pay him for his time. We got there, and enjoyed the spot for a little bit, then we needed to drive him back. That's when I realized I had left my wallet in the vehicle, unlocked (we were never more than 50 feet from it), with him. Of course, now my wallet was now empty of cash (everything else was there), but I couldn't be certain that I hadn't spent the last of our cash earlier and just not replenished it. So, basically, I wasn't confident enough to call him on it. He then had to lead us to an ATM so we could get him (more) cash. So, we probably got taken? I still don't know for sure, but I think so.

Good job not being taken yourself, though.

That is a pretty common ploy. I'd say there was a 98.99% chance that he stole your money. You may have been lucky, actually! Sometimes they will rob you completely (have accomplices either follow you or wait for you in an ambush), especially if you are at an ATM!

Thankfully it was just some money (it still sucks, but it is far better than either of you getting hurt!) that you lost out on!

I'm glad the rest of your honeymoon went well!:)

People of my Country are a joke and police station is like, you are calling yourself for some trouble ;)
And even if the police caught them on the next day they will be free anyway :D
The bus was already stuck on a traffic jump tho. As I said no one was coming ahead when the situation was going on.
They only came ahead when the problem was already solved lol.
Since I got my stuffs back and pissed those scums, I was quite happy with it.
It's little complex to explain the whole situation here, One can only understand who was or faced the same situation.

Their trick is some of them will push you from behind and the guy in-front of you, who's blocking your way will try to argue. That u are pushing him or try to distract with you with talks, And with that push the phone from your pocket is already gone! I was wearing a tight pant today, Even It's hard for me to pull it out from my own pocket! This is the third time I caught another pickpocket red handed. I'm the only one in my family who passed the test XD. My parents and my siblings were once victim of pickpockets.

A friend of a friend noticed he was being pickpocket.
Stopped it right away, made a big fuss.
Was promptly stabbed.

Bad luck. But survived (but hey, wan't robbed!) and is well.

Never happened to me but id prefer to avoid, interrupt or just directly oppose without much alarm. Making it a big deal can yeld good results (making thief run, being caught, etc) but also bad ones. It varies from place to place and degree of urban violence but sincerely i don't trust the way things are going globally. We can never know. I live in Rio de Janeiro (violence here is increasing ever more) but this event happened years ago in the countryside, on a small town i used to live, where assaults rarely if ever were armed. No one would expec the guy to be some junkie with some kind of shiv and bad mood in the middle of nowhere peace town. Sadly seemed like the start of a trend- nowadays nightcrime over there is common, knives being very common. Surely that junkie wasn't just a pickpocket but opportunally pickpocketing from a apparently distracted target but i don't think its a career with a code of conduct that binds then to pickpocket only without violence. Btw id say chances can be high of confronting pickpockets- i bet many are small time opportunists who doesn't expect being found, called out or fought over....
...and someone who isn't prepared, waiting, willing and or familiar with a situation can react in anyway. Its being surprised and scared to follow in a heartbeat with a non-tought reaction. Like running or punching you back or whatever.

I understand angry but try to keep your cool. Somethings i see make my blood boil but is it worht it?
And im glad you didn't had a gun.

No one has ever tried to pickpocket on me but I have definitely done it over a 100 times. When they realize I'm trying to do such thing, I kill them without a second thought especially in games like Styx, Assassin's Creed and Tomb Raider. Your story is so childish compared to mine ¯_(ツ)_/¯
