Two maybes in there. Most of it looks crap. Grand. Not worth $4 for just those.

That Chinese VN+puzzle hybrid looks nice... too bad they haven't finalized the English translation yet.
I'm not sure it would be enough to justify buying the entire bundle, though.

They just posted an announcement stating the English version will come in 1 or 2 weeks.

English Ver. will comming soon

Yeah, sounds good... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Indeed, that and Banzai Escape are my maybes. Unlike the rest which get farmed then never touched.

An on-rails shooter with anime graphics... that's the kind of niche that might make me interested in a shooter game.
Although the descriptions states it's just a prologue, who knows when the actual game will be released.

Looking at gameplay, it isn't look quite on rails, just linear. Though perhaps you just get to do shooting scenes while your character is moving.

I don't know if it's your jam or not, but SwordBreaker is a really nice one. It's a choose your own adventure game that only relies on choices, not dice rolles ;most of the time one of the choices will kill you , resulting in losing a life - you have three during each run. The path and answer-order is always the same, so it's easy to get back where one were, and based on choices there are three endings - and every choice has a painting to them. After a while the game turns into a macabre competition - getting to the endings, or get all the screens (and all the miserable deaths with them. Most of them is pretty fun :D )

Actually, there aren't that many this time... except on the only game that's been bundled twice.

I know, but Indiegala rasied it's prices a lot lately with all their bundles (compare previous monday and friday bundles with what we are getting lately for example)

I'm too lazy to dig through old emails but it does seem their prices have gone up a bit...

But if that means a few more cents making it to the developers, maybe it's ok. :) That ramen doesn't buy itself... :)

Love In The Glen has a separate key for the OST. True Lover's Knot is a single key. IG really need to start labeling stuff better. It was only last week they implied Zombie Driver had separate keys when it didn't.

Confirmed here too
Love in the Glen Deluxe Edition key only activates the base game not the sub for Deluxe Edition (which includes OST)

Some people will buy any crap, as long as it's anime. Only the chinese one looks half decent, but there's no way I'll pay anything just for that.

Some people also love judging games before playing them and do you know "one man's trash is another man's treasure"? Especially that some of those games got "mixed" reviews as the worst, not even one with "negative" ones.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Sorry, but I don't need to play them to know they're trash to me. I played plenty of VNs and watched plenty of anime, and I believe I have enough experience to know, with 99,9% certainty, whether its possible they're any good, without playing them. Subjectively, of course. I'm not claiming anything is objectively a crap here, I know that some works with poor plot/writing/production value etc. can be entertaining too. To each his own. I meant that some people buy those, only because they're tagged as "anime", disregarding the actual quality. Just to show off their "weebness" or whatever. And thanks to that steam is now full of cheap quasi-otaku baits, stupid memes and useless reviews.
And it doesn't matter whether the game has mixed or negative reviews. I'm an extremely critical type, and to me most overwhelmingly positive reviewed things are trash anyway. No offense meant.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I see, thanks for the explanation. I agree though that some people will buy it just because it's anime just like I bought them just because I was missing most of the games from the bundle :D (and because I do want to play a few of them too tbh).

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It may have sounded like this, but I didn't mean to criticize anyone's taste.
The thing is, it seems to me that most of steam's anime community buys most of their stuff purely to show off, and to be seen as a 'cool' member of that 'cool' group, rather than because they enjoy it. That "if its anime I absolutely have to buy it" sense of duty. Just how it looks to me, correct me if I'm wrong.

Permalink

Aye, quite a number of people does that :)

Swordbreaker is a really decent choice (not diceroll) based choose your own adventure game with more than a hundred hand-drawn pictures to each event. I don't know about the others, but this one is a really nicely did game with a hint of russian randomness (like you find an extraterrastial in the fantasy castle with it's UFO, but the events are fitting to the game)

All the regular priced & scheduled 2-week bundles always have happy hour. Always. There are rare exceptions. Just assume that any bundle that isn't a high-priced "fake" bundle (a game with some DLC that is called a "bundle" when it's really just a sale) is going to have a happy hour. It will unless it's some kind of unusual bundle.
