So I really don't play games on my phone as much as I used. But Google Play store does have a $2 credit so I figured I may get something, but would also like to hear from the community what your favorites are. May help influence me in making a decision, who knows. Last mobile game I played and really enjoyed was GrandChase FWIW.

Why play on a phone when you can play on a potato?

Mine would be Clash of Clans.

I had a level 8 village, after two years of playing. I eventually stopped because it was insane to go on without spending money and a shitload of farming. Fuck walls.

They added season passes to clash of clans.

They probably added a lot of things since the last time i've played a couple of years ago. The point is that it became from a fun time waster to a complete commitment.

I do like shoot 'em ups, I just didn't think they translated well to phones with so much going on at once on the screen. I will read and watch some videos. Thanks for your input

I'd recommend Hitman GO and/or Deus Ex GO. Played both myself, and enjoyed them quite a lot.
Also Card Thief.

Also available on Steam, for those who do not want to play on a phone.

Deus Ex GO is not ported to PC unfortunately. :(

I believe only Hitman GO can be played on Steam (unless I'm mistaken).

I think Tomb Raider was also ported, and I enjoyed it more than Hitman or DeusEx (though both are excellent).

I've been playing a lot of Raid: Shadow Legends for the last week. Not a bad game. And unlike a lot of other dungeon crawlers you don't really need to spend money to advance through the game.

Thanks for your input! I don't mind paying a couple dollars once or twice, but that's about the max I am willing to spend. Hate games that you need to drop serious cash to advance through the game

+1, but it's a new game and some time saving functions like battle simulations make the grind really time consuming. Like 2hs per day consuming. Also money doesn't necesarily help you win. It's a gamble, you can't really speed up the grind throwing money at it

My all time favorite game was Defender of Texel. I know there has been a project to recreate it but the time/money I had put into it and then servers shutdown. I know the feeling

Soul Knight
Very similar to enter the gungeon, but more easier and shorter.

I played this a few times, I can't recall why I stopped but I never did beat it (I think)

I have a couple of suggestions:

-Data Wing, a little adventure set in a digital world in a girl's smartphone. Intuitive, quick and completely free, with no microtransactions involved.
-Stack, tap the screen to stack tiles. Quick timewaster in short bursts.
-Spaceteam, a very hilarious local multiplayer game in which each player gets orders on the console (press the button, pull the lever...) while becoming increasingly faster.
-Pac Man 256, it's endless Pac Man with powerups and the classic "just one more game" style, although it has (manageable) microtransactions.
-Okay?, an okay game. Okay.

Wow! Some really great suggestions in there! Thank you! Really interested to see how Spaceteam goes over with some friends, reminds me of Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes.

It's exactly the same type of game, actually. I don't know who did it first, but it's very fun with friends indeed.

I recently played Dragon Quest IV and loved it! The mobile version is the only one that has the party chat function in English, which makes it the best version (and the interface was surprisingly easy to use too).

If you want more DQ, V and VI are also available and apparently well done, and V is one of the best loved entries in the series. My phone can't download I-III so I can't vouch for those ports, and I've heard the mobile version of VIII is lacking in many ways.

Night of the Full Moon - addictive roguelike card game

Battle Gems got Energy system but I think there was an upgrade that ~$10 or so(forgot) and I found it totally worth it :D last time it took me 25 hours to go through all the levels(there are some grindy ones but most are just to win a single fight).

Night of the Full Moon - got paid classes(you are given 1 for free out of 6 or 7) but I think $5 or so gets you everything.

Fuzzy Hop
Mitsos at the Acropolis

It's completely unrelated to the fact that I made these FREE AND AWESOME GAMES YOU SHOULD DOWNLOAD RIGHT NOW... ahem... eeeerm... sorry, got a bit carried away there with the shameless self-plug in a pathetic attempt to get a handful of new downloads... :P :P :P

Other than my own games, I've recently been playing a fairly old Tower Defense game called Guns'n'Glory. It's pretty fun!

i saw a kid riding his bike in a park and fell into this big ditch. i just laughed. he was looking at his phone the whole time, i assume it was go related.

AQ3D is pretty amazing, no ads and ever-expanding! Also both on Steam and android.
Eternal Card Game is pretty amazing too. Love how many possible strategies there are.
Gumballs and Dungeons is still my main game, incredible amounts of content.
I sank many hours into Cardinal Quest as well. It's still the best android roguelike I know.
