Which game is better in your opinion? (Rage or Fallout 3?)

Fallout 3 if you prefer RPG. Rage if you prefer simple action. Both are great

fallout 3 is better, and much longer.. though i do think rage is underrated. pick up rage on a sale. fallout 3 is the better buy for 20 bucks if your money is begging to be spent

RAGE wasn't terrible but it is a very simple and straight forward game. Fallout 3 is much more polished, longer and in-depth. Also you can add as many mods as you like to Fallout 3.

I don't know RAGE but I enjoyed Fallout 3...and yes I can play it fine on Windows 7, you just have to do little configuration edit if you are in quad-core system

Fallout 3. Rage isn't terrible but it is only an above average FPS.

unfair comparison, totally different games.
Rage is a straigh forwrd no bs first person shooter, with minor rpg elements.
Fallout 3 is a large open world RPG kinda game (sort of). Keep in mind that is uses gfwl (personally not a deal breaker, but there are people who hate it).

they are completely different games. if you want a linear fps game with FANTASTIC shooting mechanics, go with rage. if exploration and rpg elements are more your thing, go with fallout. I think both are good games, fallout will definately give you more bang for your buck, and rage's ending is TERRIBLE (this is not objective, its FACT), both both games are worth playing.

I just got Rage over the weekend, but my graphics card isn't up to date so I can't even run it :( So I'm no help there, but I can tell you that Fallout 3 is fantastic. Such a huge open world with so many little side quests along with the main story. If you get Fallout, I'd definately recommend installing some simple mods such as iron sights, and advanced weather mod - having it storm/drizzle/snow at random really adds to the atmosphere. I was a little worried about the Windows 7 thing too, but it turned out fine for me. No problems at all.

Also be sure to check out Fallout: New Vegas. I'd say its even better than Fallout 3 but both are great games.

Btw both will eventually go on sale for $5 in case you feel like waiting.

Fallout 3 was an epic experience, hopefully you will buy the GOTY version... I did replay the game 3 times from start to end, and replayed all the dlcs twice (male-female-male, all using different perks and skills).

Rage on the other hand, seems to be more fast paced, most likely that it will bore you to death after a few couple of hours, while fallout 3 can easily gather 50+ hours with just the main game storyline, exploring should quadruple that, dlc's add another pile of hours on top of it, etc. (if i remember correctly my save games were something along these lines: 500 hours first playthrough[no dlcs, xbox 360], 300 on 2nd [+dcls, pc], 180-200 on the third one[+dlcs, pc]).

I think this should be more than enough reason to buy fallout 3, not that rage is a bad game or anything, i bought it, haven't played it yet but from what i saw, seems kinda short and alot more fast paced than fallout 3. It's like as if oblivion went completly fallout, know what i'm saying? :P

Get Fallout 3, or even better NewVegas, and STUFF EVERY MOD YOU CAN FIND IN IT,

Fallout 3 is fantastic , be sure to get GOTY version if you get it.

I'm stuck with a normal version and am not sure if I want to install it :S

if you get fallout 3 i highly recommend the iron sights mod.. that alone is what made new vegas better :p

Fallout 3. Rage is boring.

You can buy both of them if you'll just wait for sale.

I enjoyed Rage but it is really repetitive and has one of the worst endings of all time. Seriously, the ending will make you mad.

Rage has a bad ending and it made my eyes hurt while playing it. It felt like I was too close even though I wasn't... I played it along with a friend and I suggest Fallout 3, as it is great n the areas that fall short as mentioned above with Rage.

Fallout 3. Rage has almost no story and no ending to it :). I wouldn't be spoiling much if i tell you that the big bad villain everyone is talking about like they're all scared of him is actually a no show :).

RAGE is more leaning towards Bioshock to be honest, except Bioshock being better on almost all accounts. Fallout 3 has much more roleplaying focus instead of action and it's heavy on numbers being crunched for all the mechanics.

Hmmmmm, I would go with Fallout 3~

Rage is a tech demo of the new engine

Rage is better IMO, but if you consider it i highly recommend byuing Bioshock.
