School shooting in the US.. Again?

It's getting old already. I do realise it's a minor case, but it's still adding to the list of school shootings that keep on happening and happening.

Is it too much for a school to have a security guard or 2? I mean, what's more valuable than protecting the lives of our future? Seriously. Screw Fort Knox.

That won't do much to stop events like the one in the OP. My jr. high had a couple, my high school had a constant patrol of five or so on one or two golf carts (most of them were friendly enough that it didn't feel oppressive). I'd bet Taft, also being in California, is similar.
