also everyone who launched the game before it goes f2p receives a Legacy Pack with cosmetics and a free Season Pass for Season 1 (source)
Btw the Steam version will be delisted like Rocket League, existing players can play through Steam, new players only through Epic.

Is it going to be an epic exclusive like Rocket League?
Yup, already removed from the steam store. most likely gonna happen. Epic owns the developer anyway.
Damn, people on Reddit told me it was delisted from purchase (can't check that easily since I own the game). Thanks for correcting.
Of course you can check it out!
Just browse the steam store from an incognito window.
and pretty sure u will need to register to epici now to play fall guys as was with rocket leaugue
That has already been the case for a few months.
on a non topic note, McMind what is your profile pict from?
Kirisame Marisa from Touhou Project
Do you happen to have the full image, or a link to it?
I have a lengthy collection of 2hu fanarts. Even drew a few amateur pieces myself.

@cybernet343 happy cake day!
It is today?! Never have I realized it in time up until now. xD Thank You! :)
Day 1 buyer here. I must install Epic i guess? I didn't play after the Epic bought. I won't say no to some free stuff. I guess i have a reason to use this platform again. (Actually i have been considering installing again even before i heard this.)
If it goes like how Rocket League did, they will continue supporting the Steam version and you can still keep playing this version
Ok, great news.
if you haven't bought it on Steam you will need to use Epic though
I bought day 1 on Steam
You don't need to install the EGS client, just have an account. The game doesn't launch the EGS. There will be an Epic online service process that runs for their online games though.
Damn, I just bought this about a month ago and have put off playing it while I'm in a crap mood from losing my job. Oh well, that's life right? :P
Sorry you lost your job. :( Good luck on your search.
No worries, if anything being fired is going to improve my mental / emotional health. Going from long-term unemployed due to weird post-depression anxiety stuff, straight into full-time at a call centre taking incoming calls for health related things? Wasn't my sagest of life choices ;P
Sorry to hear that, i was also unemployed for a month already because i could not hold any longer the toxic environment from my previous workplace, hopefully life is getting better..
Yeah, I'm looking on the bright side. The job was a bit wonky. When I joined there were like 6 long-time staff actually leaving due to the place being a bit of a wreck. I stuck it out until they got rid of me despite its toll on my sanity, and was ultimately fired for doing my job properly (being thorough, listening properly, finding resolution) rather than prioritising stats and shrugging off clients. It's a hidden mercy, I hope.
I mean, paranoia about the sudden increase in bills and everything, but hey at least I have some savings now :P
If you're as iffy about Epic's half-assed launcher and terrible support as some of the rest of us, having gotten it on Steam at a decent price while you were still able to may have actually been a massive plus. ( Nevermind that, ironically, Psyonix has gotten more responsive to Steam players of late than they ever were in the past -.-; (and thus there's no precedence for Steam players getting shafted through these Epic acquisitions, even if paid players overall do get treated fairly poorly compared to later free players) ).
Guess i stop buying games...
exclusively on Epic Games Store - jesus christ. Epic exclusive games givin me cancer
bye bye Fall guys - but i like the way that it kills the game , rather than helps Epic
I never use Epic (i don't even take the free games)
Same here. The business practices like this are obscene, and hurt gamers.
why? its nothing new...there were exclusive titles before on all kind of plattforms. common practice.
It's the way they go about it, other companies don't snap them out of the competition after he fact like this right here for example or use their stores to advertise it for them. Their launcher is terrible, their website is too, and it's not up to par. Missing features and just being shady. It's not "exclusives" because yes consoles have had that since the dawn of time and so have other companies but not in this underhanded manner.
do you actually know that its the decision from fall guys? and they see this platform more suitable, even to bring this game to nintendo and other consoles using epic?
i hate to say it, but the rage on epic is often just laughable. people just dont know shit
It's your choice to defend an inferior platform that has clearly shady practices by far just as it's my choice not to support that. Your ad hominem insult clearly proves you have no idea what you're talking about and I'm not raging at anything, just making valid points about the wrong they commit and what isn't good about their services. Nothing I said was a lie or exaggeration in any form. Buying out developers to create exclusives and pulling games from other stores is not good business. You don't even have a lot of necessary functions or they often fail at working properly. That's not a good service or launcher. Free games won't cover that up.
so what do i have no idea about?
what are your arguments then? cause they dont offer reviews, a chat between players or whatever nonsense you miss?!
what are those valid points then? please enlight me and all of us!
what wrong did they commit?
buying out developers? pulling games from another platform?
do you actually know what steam did in the past?
what is the necessary function that you miss?
your arguments are just pathetic, still...
nope i dis agree with you - they don't even have a section to ask for help i remember not so long ago that some games that had been free on Epic had players having to go to Steam chat to get help when stuck
so you know the total history of Steam then or rather Valve (because Steam can't do anything since it's just the product and not the company) that's like asking what a bag of cheese and onion crisps did instead of the named brand or company
plenty of functions are missing - even basic ones and don't you think it's still a problem when a popular game is free on you site and still people don't want to use your system - i accept Epic is around but many like me would rather use Steam - it is just plain better - i don't care if they have exclusive games and yes it is still pc games at the end of the day but they won't get any of my money (which they won't care about of course)
i hope you enjoy playing it on Epic or whatever - i never was that interested in the game anyway which is why i didn't buy it - so not bothered about the game itself , just the way they use one platform in Steam to help boost the amount they can then sell out for to Epic - it's dirty tactics
I refuse to discuss with people who refuse to read what I literally post in front of them and resort to personal attacks and name calling. Have a nice day and agree to disagree.
How they kill the game? Rocket League was killed? I think not.
i never played much Rocket League and that was bundled (how i got it) so many more people had it on Steam before the switch
It won't kill it, you just can't do anything against people who are biaised against epic
so there will be many new players? I guess that sounds great
maybe? but how many older Steam players will stop playing
the required epic Account isnt new. so why should they Stop playing now?
Another one bites the dust.
fuck epic games, never played this game again since it was bought
Damn, still have a Steam DLC I guess I'll never get to use -_-
just tried out Stumble guys - pretty good (never played fall guys but seen plenty of videos of them) - https://store.steampowered.com/app/1677740/
Me and some friends played it over the weekend. It was pretty fun. If you are looking for an alternative now that Fall Guys is a Epic Exclusive, Stumble Guys is worth the try.
lol, no chances that i try this game after migrating on EGS
if you want it on steam: you can buy it
if you want it for free: you can grab it on epic store
its only a "problem" if you dont want to pay for it but wanting to get it on steam^^
i hased bad experience with impulsing buying games so now i dont rush with buying
i have made bad experiance as well and also tend to wait for some games to make sure, i realy want to get it.
now you had almost two years time to decide. if you always wanted to buy it, it might be a good decision. But if you feel it might not be worth the money, you shoulf rather save your money... there are plenty other nice games out there and you can even grab it later (for free on epic - i know, i dont like this launcher as well, but free is a good price, expecialy if you dont know if you would like it^^) and you can also purchase it on console in future^^
Current steam players will get pre-register rewards?
If it's the same as rocket league, maybe when it hit day 1, they will ask to connect epic games account to your steam
That has been the case for ages.
shame that you can't play this in local coop. it is online only so when the official servers go down, goodbye game
Probabbly like Rocket League you will be forced to create an Epic Account to play on Steam. All this to "boost the numbers on EGS". On one hand its a 1st party game so its on their right; but on the other hand the one suppoused to "fight against monopoly" is creating one.
-Edit: I just learned, requiring an Epic Account was already a "must" on steam...
Yes it's already a requirement to play the game for quite a while (from mid season 6 I believe)
As an OG Day 1 player and still playing the game on daily bases (With my lil boi as he's really like this game), It's great to hear that they reset the seasons very soon as well as there will be so many new player coming!!!
It's really hard to hit 60 players on every game lately.
I just started playing, its not like their matchmaking system waits for a full session. Probably because they didnt have to before.
I'll definitely give it a try as it goes free. It doesn't look like something that I'd keep playing for too long, so buying it for the asking price was out of question.
Dang never realized there was so much hate for Epic lol. It's good to see this game is finally gunna be f2p, hopefully it rejuvenates the playerbase a bit because it's seriously fallen off (No Pun Intended)
On a side note, there's a very well made mobile game called Stumble Guys that's very similar to Fall Guys. The devs have added alot to it since they released it, I'd recommend it :)
very well made mobile game called Stumble Guys
very well made mobile game called Stumble Guys
It is on Steam too: https://www.steamgifts.com/go/comment/aV5NLHm
And currently it has more players than Fall Guys have.
day by day make me dont want to buy anything from steam...
Epic's mater plan at work...
Bought it during the Steam Winter Sale barely play it now it's free.
if i get it right: it will never be free on steam ;)
so you got one of the last copies before it get removed.
Legacy Pack info: to everyone that purchased and played Fall Guys before the June 21 launch. This bounding box of delights will contain a nickname, nameplate, the Regal costume, the Veggie Dog costume, the Feisty Dwarf costume – and a Season Pass for Season 1!
feels bad i bought it last month
Don't feel bad, I'm thinking of buying it on Steam just because of this news. ;)
Exactly. All these people feel bad for paying 8€ for it, and I wish there was a sale on Steam so that I could get it for less than 20€.
Just buy it outside of Steam, prices are going down because of this news. :)
where can you get it cheap then?
You can choose any key reseller website.
Played it since the first month, but stopped playing it when the game was full of cheaters and the developee was just downplaying the problem. From what I've heard it's fixed now, but it left a really bad taste in my mouth.
Thanks for the heads up!
This is so stupid from epic. as always. Fall guys was a gigantic success in terms of money making. what does epic do? they buy them out after they made all the profits and the game started to die and lost over 95% of their player base. now they hope to make money with their kudos currency or what? that game is dead and will only cost them.
but for people who own it on steam dosnt change anything O.o we already needed an epic account (like you need an uplay account to play anno on steam)
if someone realy wants this game on steam, he mostlikely already bought it there. if not, he mostlikley buys it now
or if the person cant afford it: he/she can grab it for free on epic
but yeah, lets complain for nothing...
On Steam the game lost the majority of the players you're talking about back in 2020, which is long before Epic purchased the studio. The game still has thousands of daily players on Steam, which doesn't include the current playerbase on Playstation, so it's far from dead. The game is also going to be launching on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X for free, so the reality is the game isn't going anywhere.
Just to put things into perspective on Steam alone as far as the population goes, according to Steam charts there's only around 100 games that have over 8,000 people playing on them as I type this. 9,506 players is what Fall Guys has had at peak in the last 24 hours.
so, because i want to play this only for the steam archivement, I only have until june to buy it?
Mabey I'll buy it, Mabey i'll never got that achivements
so it is^^
if you want achievements: it seems you can get it on playstation as well (there you have achievements as well)
the last console I own was a PS2 (money issuses) and today I dont want to own one, PC is more confrontable for me
