Yup, already removed from the steam store. most likely gonna happen. Epic owns the developer anyway.

Btw the Steam version will be delisted like Rocket League, existing players can play through Steam, new players only through Epic.

You don't need to install the EGS client, just have an account. The game doesn't launch the EGS. There will be an Epic online service process that runs for their online games though.

If you're as iffy about Epic's half-assed launcher and terrible support as some of the rest of us, having gotten it on Steam at a decent price while you were still able to may have actually been a massive plus. ( Nevermind that, ironically, Psyonix has gotten more responsive to Steam players of late than they ever were in the past -.-; (and thus there's no precedence for Steam players getting shafted through these Epic acquisitions, even if paid players overall do get treated fairly poorly compared to later free players) ).

Me and some friends played it over the weekend. It was pretty fun. If you are looking for an alternative now that Fall Guys is a Epic Exclusive, Stumble Guys is worth the try.

if you want it on steam: you can buy it
if you want it for free: you can grab it on epic store

its only a "problem" if you dont want to pay for it but wanting to get it on steam^^

If it's the same as rocket league, maybe when it hit day 1, they will ask to connect epic games account to your steam

Yes it's already a requirement to play the game for quite a while (from mid season 6 I believe)

I just started playing, its not like their matchmaking system waits for a full session. Probably because they didnt have to before.

I'll definitely give it a try as it goes free. It doesn't look like something that I'd keep playing for too long, so buying it for the asking price was out of question.

but for people who own it on steam dosnt change anything O.o we already needed an epic account (like you need an uplay account to play anno on steam)
if someone realy wants this game on steam, he mostlikely already bought it there. if not, he mostlikley buys it now
or if the person cant afford it: he/she can grab it for free on epic

On Steam the game lost the majority of the players you're talking about back in 2020, which is long before Epic purchased the studio. The game still has thousands of daily players on Steam, which doesn't include the current playerbase on Playstation, so it's far from dead. The game is also going to be launching on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X for free, so the reality is the game isn't going anywhere.

Just to put things into perspective on Steam alone as far as the population goes, according to Steam charts there's only around 100 games that have over 8,000 people playing on them as I type this. 9,506 players is what Fall Guys has had at peak in the last 24 hours.
