That makes no sense. If you don't own the game, and yet you've given quite a lot, then you're not permitted to enter?
I know it's your rules, so I don't question that, just that the logic of not needing as much as someone who gave 0 is a strange concept.

I thought the following: "the person who make AAA games GAs can certainly take some promotion and buy games like this for yourself (which is not new and is sometimes discount in the store) and also." If you won a lot of games in SG, you can say that you are lucky and already has much to have fun", on the other hand, a boy who besides not having money have no luck gets sad with good chances to lose. the parameter I myself : my ratio is 3:1 at the time and spent well more than we received in return here I would love to win a AAA release because I can not buy at the time none of them. I hope to someone in the same situation as me less sad, create a day exception to the rule.
Please understand: I'm not punishing anyone who make a lot of GAs or who wins enough: I'm just allowing someone who does not fit that profile and that nevertheless maintains a decent ratio, can make a different game.
By the time I got BL some users who certainly did not pass the filters. This is very sad. not by GAs that will not participate, but because these people are selfish. To me, THAT makes no sense. Make me sad...
Next time you make a GA by invitation, will be less rigorous, because I can not buy games like this forever (I do not have a CoD in my library). So the simplest games have more lenient rules.

But, your argument does make sense that if someone can buy an AAA game for GA, they could buy it for themselves.
I only, though, speak from my own side, not for everyone else. I reached level 6 by buying bundles and on-sale games for GAs. I can't afford AAA games, and never plan to buy any myself until they're bundled, or on sale after a year or so. Don't mind waiting for older games like that. I have enough in my library to wait a year before playing something.

Anyway, I don't have anyone in my whitelist, because I won't make any whitelist giveaways. BUT, if I had to make a whitelist, I would add polite people in it. I would not add people because of their ratio.

Thanks a lot for your kind words. ;) I mean, there are some people that have an awesome ratio, but they're rude, so why would someone whitelist them. And there are some other people, that may not have a good ratio, but they're very polite, so they deserve a "special" giveaway.

Decent ratio (around 1), a lot of comments, above lvl 2 and nice. That's about it for my whitelist. As for my blacklist, they're mostly just people I don't like want to give games to. This mainly involves a lot of rudeness on their part, stupidity or rule breaking. Occasionally there's also someone with a bad enough ratio. :P

I just whitelist people that I think deserve it. So people that help others, have a very good ratio or have done other great things.

I whitelist people who contribute to the page. That can be
- a user who post mostly contructive stuff in the forum,
- rookies who creates giveaways on their first days and ask in a friendly way if anything is unclear,
- great GAs
- great puzzles
- great events
- great add-ons, 3rd party stuff,
- being staff of SG.

I only tend to whitelist, active, funny, helpful or polite individuals. As for blacklist, cheaters, extremely rude or thoughts who don't say thank you. (I don't care about ratio, since it doesn't really mean anything. Just because you give, doesn't make you a kind person and just because you don't, doesn't make you bad or a leech).

I white list if I think someone is funny, or interesting. Or if they flatter me in some way. I need my ego constantly massaged.
People that white list me that I notice get wl back, as I consider this a form of flattery.

I whitelist those who I've made friendships with... Some on my whitelist I did because of ratio only but that was early on when I didn't know many on here... Now I'll go back and clean up my WL to those who I know personally since I've had time to develop a good friendship base.

i have very few people on my whitelist. Those in it have "chatted" with to me in discussions and were very helpful. But only yesterday i added someone to my whitelist because he made toooooooooooooons of giveaways (19k+ $ worth) but only won 2. And i also added someone who added me to his whitelist because of my icon, and i found it cute.

I've only been here a couple of months so my whitelist is pretty short. but if someone comes across as particularly friendly, amusing and generally being especially non-arseholey and if I happen to remember that there is a whitelist then I'll consider adding them to it. there's probably lots of people who deserve to be on it but aren't though

Guys, what criteria do you use to create your whitelist? At the moment I only use a blacklist to block those who earn one of my GAs and it has a very bad ratio, for example.
