Have you purchased a hentai game on steam?
Where is the "no, because I don't enjoy them" option? H scenes are the focus, so gameplay and story are usually there as an excuse so the "game" doesn't turn into a slideshow. If a game doesn't have good gameplay and/or story, I don't want it.

I will say there are smut games with great stories, but to be fair they usually happen to focus on kinks that many might find off-putting. I feel like text based smut games are probably better at this 'cuase you need a decent story to keep readers invested, where as more traditional h games just focus on those h scenes and force a story to get into that situation which may not make sense or be entertaining

Yeah, I get what you mean. I may not be the best person to answer this question anyway because I don't usually seek smut in any media. I can deal with it if it's there, but I don't intentionally seek it, so if there is nothing else to hold my interest I would rather play something else. H scenes can get in the way if not done in the right context. I mean I didn't need all the hot scenes and pictures to enjoy the Witcher series, but it's not like I closed my eyes when they happened and they did not interrupt the flow of the game.

yeah, i think i bought a sakura game when that was a meme, but like if I actually wanted smut i would go to itch.io or specific creator sites vs steam. With steam opening up to everyone with adult games and steam direct I was hoping that it might help indie devolopers shine, but now the market is just overcrowded with shovelware and low quality games and it's not even worth looking for decent ones now. It's very much a shame.

cost is the issue as always (you can put a simple jigsaw game quickly with unity/game maker then reuse it several times just changing the images et voila).
for other kind, there are "vr paradise" (but need a vr headset), "orc massage", "being a dyke", etc.

Actually yes, Mutiny!! when it went for beans as a protest against Valve cutting out adult content. Still haven't played it, but at least it's not a match-3-hentai game.
I have 118 (???) games with nudity tag, but it has stuff like Vikings - Wolves of Midgard or Blood and Bacon listed as well lol. Couldn't find anything else on the first glance that is porny enough, and I bought it on Steam

Huh. Steam putting the furry and weeb stuff on the points shop seems strangely decent for them. You need to buy games and DLC to get points so it means furries and weebs actually need to buy games and DLC in order to get the cosmetics they want to put on their profiles. Granted, they probably already have (those demographics are notorious for being very financially stable) but even then that seems like a decent thing.
Also, haven't bought any hentai games afaik but did buy this silly game on a dare. Does that count?

No, because I think that's disgusting. I'm totally fine with erotics as a means of creating art (for instance, I absolutely adore Lars von Trier's movies or Henry Miller's books), but what you are talking about is basically porn for the sake of porn, and I don't need that in my life.

:shrug: I think all types of art has it's place. Some inspire wonder and awe or explore and confront questions and emotions we don't like to think about, and some are just entertainment to relax to, engaging our basest instincts whether it's a violent action scene, cool set piece or smut.
It might not be for everyone but I still think it serves a valid purpose.

My complaint about the sexy/erotic/furry games is that the characters always assume all players are male/have male anatomy.
I've not found any Yuri (female+female) erotic furry games.

I never realized how powerful local anesthesia could be and I very much miss it, though this is nothing compared to the pain some of my body mids gave me so I'll be alright.
And yeah, finding smut not based around cis guys dicks is way to hard and a shame. and even if you find yuri there's a good chance it's catered to what men want.
That's why I tend to fall back to fenoxo 'cause at least you get a choice, but even That's kinda dick centered.

I also prefer a local to general. I just had a thoracic nerve block with local 2 days ago, and already I'm feeling pretty good now. I find I recover faster with a local, where general anesthesia leaves me nauseous for days.
My best advice for post surgery is don't be afraid to take it easy and give your body time to recover.

Hella Yuri is a pretty decent curator, but I'd still avoid most of the yuri available on steam. itch.io and creator websites have much more diversity in smut and you can find specifics you're looking for. The steam marketplace is really not as accessible as it seems and huge success is needed vs finding a niche that supports you. So most of stem hgames are always gonna be appealing to the mainstream market which is just what gets cis men off.
There are a few great queer creators and games, but it's not a great market for queer smut. I'm a degenerate who loves smut, but steam allowing it is kinda weird and it certainly ain't the best place to look for it. At least most of thier smut isn't filled with racist tropes so it's got that going at least

Now, about the other subjects. I'm fine with furry stuff but honestly can't enjoy the explicit stuff because the physicallity/anatomical features of it tends to be a complete turn off, monster girls are a bit more up my alley because they know what parts to keep human looking. I'm into some weird hentai that barely even exists anyway so I'm not gonna pretend like I'm not a degenerate.
I've bought some h games, yes, but as many other titles I own on steam they're just patiently waiting their turn on my backlog. The only one I started was HuniePop but I really disliked the puzzle mechanics so I gave up, apparently I have certain expectations when it comes to color matching puzzle games.

So I just had surgery so I bought a bunch of games to play while I recover, and I noticed the steam points shop. The animated profiles are really cool, but there are so many pervy ones it's ridiculous. When steam finally allowed adult content I thought they would try to separate it from the rest of their family friendly service, but you can just plaster lewds all over your profile, it's weird. Also very stupid that it's only available with steam points and not direct purchase 'cause you could really make a lot of furries and weebs.
But anyway' I picked up Gears tactics and i'm having a decent amount of fun with it so I'll share that with one of you. (Not as much fun as Xcom, but this is at least playable with the Xbox launcher vs the 2k one) Tip going in, snipers are fucking useless.
ItsTooHard has gone down since the time I've been away so I can't do this the way I wanted, but I'm too lazy to make this a puzzle, but still want to make it a challenge by forcing you to admit to something most of y'all will probably hate.
