Well the retail copies were distributed by Electronic Arts after all.

Nothing odd about it. EA is Valve's publisher in the retail market. While EA stopped publishing through Steam, Valve didn't care enough to return the favor.

Well, it's good. Maybe EA changes their mind about selling games on steam?

They've been doing this for a long time. I saw L4D2 a while ago.

Value needs to do the same with some of EA's games so then if it is possible they can get more gamers to buy them

I stopped trying to make sense of EA's behavior some time ago. It gave me a headache.

EA is a big BlackHole, You know it there, but you never can see it (or understand it in this case)

So i say, ignore it, it make you have a headache if you think about EA too much

no surprise EA sells all retail Valve titles for a few years now
