Very interesting, thanks for the link! Just on a quick glance things do appear to be significantly different with their algorithm. For example, Outward is listed above Dark Souls II, despite Dark Souls II currently being seemingly better on all fronts (discount amount, price, historical low, and critic and community reviews). Perhaps the fact that Outward is currently marked as a "historical low" (which is odd because Dark Souls II also should be labeled in that manner, as it matches its historically low price) has something to do with this too.
One thing that I didn't figure out how to incorporate was how often deals for a certain game happen, and how that may reveal something about how likely or rare that deal is, or perhaps even how good a game is if it's constantly on sale for a low price. ITAD is definitely in a much better position to crunch those numbers than I am with their historical data that is much harder to parse easily for someone on the outside.
Do you know of anywhere that they detail how this new deal rating system is calculated?

I had part of creating this formula for IsThereAnyDeal, but I can't share the details. But again, that is the same reason why I respect your effort as I know exactly how hard it is to create something which should work for most of the titles, deals. Again, good work!

In my spare time, I crafted a spreadsheet calculator (with lots of pretty colors with conditional formatting!) that uses a variety of measurements to help you decide how good a deal is. All you need is to enter the game name, regular price, sale price, and OpenCritic and SteamDB scores. Other critic or community scores will work just fine if the game you're inputting doesn't have OpenCritic or SteamDB scores; I just prefer those sites whenever possible as I personally find them to be the most accurate for those metrics.
If a game doesn't have scores from critics and/or the community, you can use the 50th percentile values I provided for OpenCritic or SteamDB, or leave it blank. Do note that if one score is left blank it can adversely affect the accuracy of the measurements, especially as the other score veers away from the 50th percentile value. I have not yet had a situation where I couldn't find both critic and community scores, but if this is the case, just use the 50th percentile values for both to get a calculation. The more data points you have, the more accurate the measurements will be -- but nearly every AAA game and most indie games have at least one of these scores available.

Constructive criticism is fine, but I'm not really willing to change the overarching format of the project at the moment. Since this is a template, you can of course make a copy for yourself and mess around the formulas and such. I didn't implement this for my purposes, but for example, you could adjust how the combined rating is calculated -- currently, it is a simple average, but you can adjust the ratio if you use different ratios to multiply with the ratings and IF statements (which you need in case one is empty, as multiplying by zero will result in a combined 0% rating instead of an average).
One final note, one thing I'm looking to integrate for my own usage is importing game info from my IsThereAnyDeal waitlist and potentially other rating sites into a separate sheet that I can then import appropriately into my own template. I couldn't figure this out myself as that's a bit above my own knowledge, but if anyone has any ideas how this could work, feel free to let me know.
