Event viewer should show crash details to help narrow things down. Also any relevant DXDiag info would also be helpful.

I have Raptr disabled. I also updated my graphics driver recently, but only because of the issue, so after the crashes started.

Have you successfully played these games under stress, for a little while, without problem? (not just starting them). If not, or this also reveals a problem I would put forward trying a different PSU. (of course the first thing I would try is completely uninstalling\reinstalling the graphics drivers)

Definitely. I've been playing these games (and other) for up to 4 hours straight.

Nope. You know how your monitor goes black for a split second when you launch a game? It does just that, except it seems to freeze my entire computer like that.

is the pc really frozen then, or do you just not see anything on the display anymore? what if you try some key combinations, like ctrl-alt-del? or try to start an explorer with win+e. is there any noticable harddrive activity then?

also, if it's some strange software issue, the windows recovery function might help (if you have a recovery point from the last days or weeks).

the graphic card and its drivers ain't the issue otherwise it would mess up gaming when games are played in window mode too. sounds to me like an issue of direct3D not being able to handle launching games in full screen mode. Try updating direct3D and if it's not working do a clean deinstallation of it including deletion of direct3D in your windows registry and then install it again. if that shouldn't work too I'd go for recovery from before when the problem started.
happy cake day btw! :)

looks like resolution problems, like when a resolution is too high and monitor cant handle it. What about supersampling (VSR by amd ) in driver settings? would dig in that direction and reset all to default
new idea: check default monitor in steam, could be the 1400 one tries to launch the game with 1680 resolution (if using big picture)

Update:
Disabling and unplugging my second monitor seems to have resolved the issue. I'm still not 100% sure if this is the solution (since a couple of days ago I ran the game as admin and it fixed the issue, then it started doing it again so I'm not even sure if a fix is temporary anymore).

SOLVED:
Problem solved. My DVI to VGA connector was failing in a way that made the monitor work correctly, but was being detected as a Generic Non-PnP Monitor. Buying a new connector will solve the issue.

Glad you fixed it. I run 1400x1050@85, but I only have 1 monitor :)

Recently, my computer has been acting strangely. When launching a game, both of my monitors will immediately go black, and my computer will be unresponsive (Alt+Enter, Ctrl+Alt+Del, etc, doesn't work) which leaves me with no other choice than to force a manual shutdown of my computer.
It first happened with Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1, and I have been spending the last three days attempting to resolve the issue. I figured out, after modifying the config file, that launching the game in windowed mode solves the problem, and I can even run the game in fullscreen by changing the in-game settings. However, as soon as I launch the game without setting it to windowed mode, it'll crash my entire computer again.
Just now, I tried launching Dying Light and had the exact same issue, which immediately eliminates the possibility that Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 is the problem. Now, it seems that it is a graphics issue of some sort, perhaps something related to my monitor's/the game's resolution. But would that cause a crash of my entire system? That doesn't make sense. The strange thing is that I've never experiences this before, and I've been playing Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 for weeks without any problems before this happened.
So yeah. Throw a few ideas around, who knows what could help me identify the cause of the issue, and maybe even resolve it.
