So I have around $7 in my steam wallet, but can't decide what to spend it on during the Sale.

What from the poll list would SGifters recommend?

Which should I buy?

D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die -Season One-
E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy
Geometry Dash
INSIDE
The Hex
The Longest Journey + Dreamfall
The Turing Test

I can recommend The Longest Journey + Dreamfall. Not only do they tell a connected and deeply touching story, but also they provide hours and hours of entertainment, if you're into this sort of games, that is.

OP should be aware of the horrible combat in Dreamfall tho.. Thankfully it is only like 2-3 "?" instances of that.. Dear god it was horrid :P

There's a trainer for this, yep) I don't even think that's cheating, more like fixing a gameplay element Tornquist has messed up.

I'm so mainstream, I end up voting for the poll winner about to 95%.

The Turing Test is okay, but very very short. i have 6 hours in it, and im not even anymore sure if that is full playtime or if there is idle time in it.
If this Playtime is you worth its actual Price than buy it.

Wow, easy choice for me.

While Dreamfall was good, Inside was amazing. Not even a genre I normally enjoy a lot, but I absolutely loved it.

The Hex is from Pony Island developer and people say it is equally clever. Inside is winning in the poll but if you played and liked Pony Island I'd go with The Hex without hesitation. Especially that it has quite unique and intriguing gameplay :) And it's a newer game :P

INSIDE was my favourite game I played in 2017, would definitely recommend! Though it is short (~3 hours).

Inside is the best as gameplay and exploration go.
The Longest Joueney + Dreamfalls seems to be the longest as story
The Turing Test is fun, light-Portal kind of game, but not really challenging
Geometry dash is simple but it has loots of content and longevity
Can't say anything about the others.
If you'll get money from sales, I'd go with Inside or TLJ+Dreamfall and Geometry dash if you will have 1€ leftover.

I really don't recommend inside. The game's "narrative" doesn't make any sense. It's just all metaphor. You can just watch a walkthrough of it or wait until it gets even cheaper.

There are few games that are on par with The Longest Journey narrative-wise. The only problem is that you will desperately need to play Dreamfall Chapters after completing the first two games of the trilogy (Dreamfall ends with one of the most merciless cliffhangers I've ever seen), so buying only this bundle isn't really sufficient.

I highly recommend not getting INSIDE. I didn't like it much. But... a lot of people do. I also thought Furi was terrible, and have a review up for that one as to why I think it sucks ass, but a lot of people like that one too... I got plenty of return hate for that review. It ended up being pretty helpful overall though. ;)

Can't suggest against or for the others, as I haven't played any of them. I've seen E.Y.E: pretty cheap at times... D4 looks good, but I can't comment. I can only recommend against INSIDE, or try it a little and see if you like it - but you have only a couple of weeks to refund if you don't like it, and can't play for more than like... two hours... There are a lot of reasons why I don't recommend it, but I won't throw any spoiler info out there either. It's just... very bland and not much to it. If it were around $2 I'd say it's worth the price of admission though.

I hate agreeing with 'not recs,' especially unpopular ones, but I felt the same about INSIDE. The puzzling itself wasn't as good as in other games I felt, and while the atmosphere and 'hinting' at a story and coda was interesting, it left me feeling hollow. I know that that's probably the point but I dunno, I wasn't in it for the artsy, so I left disappointed ._.

Something tells me I'll like Furi though, so I am 100% ignoring you on that one XD

OH DAMN I overlooked D4 on this list - I voted for INSIDE.

I love D4, although, be warned: it will almost certainly never be completed, since the director (my man SWERY) has left and started his own studio. If you're okay with that, then it's a fun romp.
