EDIT: Script was made for winter sale 2015 but it's updated now and it works for winter sale 2018, so enjoy going through queue.

I know it's almost the end of the winter sale but it's better late than never.

I took 15 min to make a simple auto click script to help out loop through queue for the cards.

The script is only few lines of code and requires Tampermonkey on Chrome or Greasemonkey on Firefox add-on.

Installation is very easy, download the script from github install the extension and insert the script code into extension.

The script will check if there is a link to start a new queue, refresh queue or go to next item in queue and click on it. Please read the description on link also.

If you use Chrome/Firefox often, you will find Greasemonkey/Tampermonkey very useful.

You did say that you don't want add-on for web browser, and I took it as you don't use Grease/Tampermonkey. And a macro for your mouse is definitely not as efficient as using a script in browser.

And yes, if those twenty-whatever scripts of yours are not as efficient as one add-on, then it does become useful. Unless I misunderstood what you are saying.

I didn't say i don't want to use add-on i said that i made a macro on my mouse instead because i don't know how to make those script, and no the 20 + script isn't for all the same thing

Might have only taken 15 minutes to make, but it only takes 15 seconds to search https://www.reddit.com/r/Steam/comments/3xvie5/userscript_to_automatically_go_through_a/

This one is much better, as it uses POST method to loop through lists i.e. you don't have to load any game pages and it actually doesn't "click" anything. Just remember to start from http://store.steampowered.com/explore/ and it does the rest for you in less than 1 minute.

I don't actually use either as it only takes me a minute anyway and I may see something of interest that I'd previously missed.

After trying, whenever a queue is finished, there's an error 'there's a problem saving your preference' and script refuses to continue and the error box keeps being displayed. I have to start discovery manually again.

I see the message, looks like it happens on Firefox, but for me even if message is appeared the script continue to loop through queue.

I just used script again now, and the message is not showing and loop works fine so i guess that today it was some problem with Steam.

Happens still on Pale Moon for today.

But I'd ignore it since when I leave it alone it continues working on the background.

Stuck on age verification though. I read your message below that you'd not implement auto population data however. IMHO I'd just auto populate it, it doesn't mean anything (dummy data).

I just found out that script will stop with loop if game requires age verification. There is a possibility to auto populate age fields with some dummy content and continue with loop but i would rather skip implementing that because maybe someone want to input his own date rather than some random one.

To refresh discussion a bit, since steam summer sale began, and they are using same loop through queue to get cards method like last time, my script maybe can be useful to someone again.

I updated the script, now it will skip stupid "not appropriate for all ages, bla bla bla..." thingy, and it will also skip on age check, although i only made it to auto click on age verification and i already had set my age before so it works fine, i don't know what will be if you didn't set your age, you will probably have to set age once and it will continue.

I am using the one I originally found few years ago (probably that 2015) and it works. What does the update implement into the script? Does it speed up the process?

Nothing major, i just changed http to https as steam changed everything to https so i thought it wont work with http, but i guess it works as your script works :)
I also removed wait for whole page to load, it clicks on next as soon as button is available so it might be a bit faster. (like 0.5second faster)

I have 'steamdb' and 'enhanced steam' extensions, and one of them literally add 'cheat the queue' button to explore page.

Yeah, they are quite good and they work fast, but this was made before that plus i don't need to install one more extension for this, just drop it in tampermonkey which i use daily. :)
