Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines is a must buy.
As a matter of fact, every time that game is mentioned on the interwebz, someone will run and reinstall it just to enjoy it again

I've just bought Brothers and I'm probably gonna get the Swapper this sale - so no, I haven't played any of those yet - but I'll tell you what, Vampire: the Masqurade is easily one of the best games I've ever played, even given what a bug-filled mess it is. And I'm not even that much into RPG's.

I really liked Brothers. I played through it in one sitting (though I started playing it and played for about an hour, then I had other stuff to do and forgot about it for while before I actually finished it), took me about 3 hours, and it is extremely fun. I bought it for the full retail price, and I am glad I did, so it is a good buy, especially at this discounted price. I have not played the other two though.

The Swapper is an excellent puzzler with some interesting mechanics and really fantastic atmosphere. The only things I can ding it for at all are some annoyingly twitchy placement required on a few of the puzzle solutions, and relatively short length.
Vampire is an absolutely fantastic RPG, especially once you apply the unofficial patch to fix some of the bugs/truncated development.
I haven't played Brothers, but have heard good things.
Gun to my head I'd take Vampire over Swapper (especially because Vampire seems to have settled at $5 and Swapper will probably get a steeper discount in the future), but you really can't go wrong with either if you have a strong hankering for one genre over the other.

Vampire - The Masquerade - Bloodlines is amazing. Just make sure you get the unofficial patch before playing it, as it fixes the bugs.

The problem is, all of those games are very different. If you want something unique or just a break from shooting/killing things, get The Swapper. It's original and quite a pleasant experience that I found to be quite challenging, but not too challenging. Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines is a deep RPG experience that will keep you occupied for hours (if you're into games like Deus Ex). I never liked the combat mechanics, but the rest of the game is so well done that they don't really matter. Brothers is the only one I haven't played, so I can't tell you what it's like :P

Thanks, y'all. Leaning toward Brothers. I think my wife would enjoy it the most of the three, and VMB is bound to be on sale at least this deep near EOY. I'm interested, but not in a vampire kinda mood right now. :)

Actually the only reason I'd pick Vampire Etc over the other two, is I've been told it goes rarely on sale.
I had bad luck with flawed-gem-of-a-games-turns-cult so my choice would be Brothers too. I haven't played any of them though, so my opinion is based on what I've gathered.

Why bad luck? What happened? Thanks for the input.

Nothing happened, it simply turned out the flaws were very much there and hard to look past; the games developed a vocal fanbase who never misses a chance to praise the game to the moon and back, or points out how the game was horribly misunderstood/underestimated/ahead of its time, etc.

Brothers seems really neat and so does the Swapper. I think that if you get Vampires you oughta get some unofficial patch somewhere. Or something.

fixing all existing bugs and glitches in the game, fixing stats balance, restoring abilities, lots of cut lines (dialogs), npcs, items, quests and even some locations. This unofficial patch has been in development for ages and still is supported by the community. Must have for a Bloodlines fan.

IMO Brothers & The Wolf Among Us deserve GOTY, so yeah, Brothers is a must buy

Looking forward to snagging WAU at a later point as well. Telltale is at top of game right now.

Snagged Masquerade. Hope to be able to hurdle the bugs w/ the patch, and be able to stay strong long enough in the hotel to be able to continue the game. I don't have the stomach for these kinds of things...sometimes. :)
Thanks for all the input, y'all.
Brothers is up next in the winter...

I haven't finished Brothers yet, but it's kinda blowing my mind. The controls are weird. I feel like I'm getting used to them, but then it slips away.
Vampire is an old game. That's not a mark against it, I'm just saying. It's often compared to Deus Ex, which is one of the greatest games of all time. I've been meaning to play it.
Never heard of Swapper.

Anyone played all three or at least two?
Yes, I know they are different genres and different animals.
But I'm going to snag one of them here tomorrow.
They'll probably all be back on sale at EOY.
Any strong feelings from those that have played two or all three?
