I made 2 gifts How to Survive - Storm Warning Edition, but now this game does not give experience and I lost 2 level. how long to wait, and whether it is necessary to wait for the return?

They still give you CV, but they got added to the bundle list. They were 90% Edit: even 95 % off during summer sale, so taking cheaper prices in CIS region into account, these games had a discount of more than 95% compared to the standard american store price.

CIS prices are still taken into account? sure about that? the region locks are in place for so long now. we can't buy region free gifts there anymore.

Yes, that's why the Daedalic Armageddon Bundle was bundled for example.
You can still get them from a trader and make a giveaway with them.

Yes I'm positive on this.
You never could buy CIS copies yourself (very general speaking) but had to trade for them.So nothing changed from that point of view. Only point that changed those cheap gamas cannot be given to anybody. But since giveaways for other regions don't give special CV, but add to normal CV anybody could trade for cheap CIS copies and give those away to gain a lot of CV...

Only possibility would be to reduce CV for regional giveaways. But this could be cheated easily as well (make a group with people from your region and set up ROW giveaways for that group...).

Sad but true :(

Always take this into consideration when buying highly discounted yet unbundled games for giveaways. Especially since those games get added very late to the list.
I had to learn that the hard way when I gave away one copy of the Daedalic Armageddon bundle which was my most expansive single purchase for games in probably forever. Sure I gave it away to gain CV fast, but also because I know these are just awesome games. On the one hand I feel cheated, cause I would have spent the money on other games, which had given me more CV - on the other hand I hope I made someone happy with some very cool games =)

I'm in Euro Tier 2 zone and I think the game was on 96% discount during the summer sale. It was practically free (even still I didn't find that crap worth buying so I passed).

EDIT: Actually looking at that game now it doesn't seem that bad. I wonder why I didn't want to buy it during the summer sale. I think it's something TB said about it in one of his videos that made me not want to ever buy it.

Games that were in the bundle or on steam discount at 95% or more will only give you 15% of their value.

Always check this list of bundle games before making giveaways if you don't want to give away games that will only give you 15% of their value in CV.

What makes you think so?
You get a total of 6$ CV for those two copies.

IIRC They have to get at least 96% off (compared to the american store standard price) to get added to the bundle list.

I think it's 95

I'm very certain it has to be 96 % (or more) off to get added to the bundle list. Unfortunately staff doesn't communicate this policy so openly and there are only single posts in some threads stating this.

I guess I wasn't completely right, And I believe this "cutoff at 95%" should read as:
Everything that is discounted at 95% is fine, everything that had a discount larger than 95% --> bundle list.
But since regional prices are taken into account as well, it virtually will lead to any game which gets a 95% discount will end up on the bundle-list. So you were completely right :)

But I made that post before I was support so you can't use it as a guideline!

so can you make an official statement now?

Honestly only the bundler and admin can make official statement about this. But if you feel like a game should be added to the bundle list, please make a support ticket and it will be investigated.

Thanks for your answer. I feel there should be an official statement with hard set rules as to when a game will definitely end up on the bundle list. This wouldn't exclude the one or other odd exception. This would guarantee a lot more of planning security.
I understand it's impossible for one person to catch every single game that goes on a bundle or on a high discount. But if there were such an official statement no one can bitch later on when a game/package gets on the bundle list.
I also understand that this is no priority issue, but if you'd want to make the overall experience for some users better, this statement would be appreciated.

BTW, a more hypothetical question, no answer awaited:
Will games that at some point got reduced in Steam standard price (and therefore a discount that was prior to that high, but after reduction only let's say around 80%) be removed form the bundlelist?

I gave away 4 copies (http://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/f1zZr/how-to-survive). Did they count as bundled or non-bundled games? (They were ROW btw)

No problem at all. Since that site does not register GAs that have less than 5 entries, my GA list from that site seems really empty.
I also had forgotten that the 21 copies of Gallactic Civ. II Ultimate Edition lower the CV after 5 copies are given.

I usually don't care what I giveaway if people are happy w/ it but perhaps I should have only given 5 copies of "Gallactic Civ. II Ultimate Edition" (although I have to admit I gave 15 copies, at once, on purpose - I always wanted to give a large copies of a game) and instead of purchasing "How to survive" I should have purchased another games to give away.

I will try to be more mindful in the future.

Anyway, ty again.
