Now, this isn't your average superhero show. Doom Patrol was created back in 1963 and its most acclaimed run is with Grant Morrison. Grant would later incorporate bizarre secret societies, elements of Dada, surrealism, and the cut-up technique pioneered by William S. Burroughs and Brion Gysin. He also borrowed the ideas of Jorge Luis Borges and Heinrich Hoffmann.
The lunacy of the comic translated very well into the TV show, thanks to the amazing writers and cast. I could go on and on why you should watch it but this is one of those cases where trailers speak better than I ever could and offer you a glimpse into the quirkiness of the show.

Episode 4 promo
Episode 5 promo
Episode 6 promo
Episode 7 promo

The recent episode 8 also introduced Danny the Street, a sentient genderqueer street. Also in the latest press release, DC confirmed that watching every episode released so far will boost your win ratio on SG by 3,8% (per episode so it stacks).

I didn't like what I saw of Titans that much, so I have been hesitant about this one. But I do think the premise sounds better for this one.

If you've seen both, how do they compare?

I've watched all season 1 of Titans. Can't say it's a must-watch but it seems to be picking up toward the end of the season (although Emo Dick isn't improving much)

Grant Morrison is awesome but alas the show is not.
I was already suspicious when they did that awful backdoor pilot in Titans (this one started well though) but my suspicions were confirmed when I tried a couple of episodes of the show.

Guess it's not for me but good luck to them. At least it's not a CW show for teenage girls.

I'll stick with Umbrella Academy.

This show is incredibly zany and i love it.
Great set of characters, i love how they view their powers as an hindrance, something that doesn't let the forget their human flaws.
DC as always been better at this then they ever where at super heroes and power consistency.

it does reinforce how bad their studios is when it comes to CGI though. Some of the cgi and textures look like an outdated video game

doom patrol is highly enjoyable and at the same time crosses way to many lines. the nudity, the shitty cum together joke, and saying fuck all the time is just lazy writing
not a fan of this new R rated dc universe, batman fucking batgirl, batGIRL!!!
all the new cartoon movies are shit
the live action movies are meh, wonderwoman is still the best live action with shazam 2nd
the new young justice is the best thing dc has right now
dc had the best cartoon tvshows and movies and marvel had the best live action movies

No. Just... No. DC needs to stop making live action shows, ESPECIALLY those crap ones on the CW. I swear, if the CW didn't have them, that channel would be off the air.

Stop bastardizing these once great comics by making them into live action TV shows.

The first couple of seasons of Arrow were pretty ballin' tbh. (I still watch them to this day, but I'm also a sucker for mediocre TV).
