Since I am returning and now have to learn a few new tools. What is the best way at combating bots now? I didnt think they were this much of an issue 3-4 years ago.

puzzles...make puzzles
okay thats just because I like puzzles
I would just make SGTools protected GA's with basic rules and then make discussions and put them in it if you want to combat bots
either that or make a train and hide each of the 5 characters to the first car in your post

I appreciate the cookies, but what's done is done and you've been added to the list Β―_(ツ)_/Β―

Just an FYI, you went on the same list last night for that Wildlands GA.

Hmm, interesting. I like puzzles but are a pain for me to make. So I guess SGTools is the best way or using an invite only link and making a discussion about it.

puzzles can be as easy or as hard as you want them to be
you can make a "itstoohard" with a question about anything that strikes your fancy and provide the link after they put in the answer for example. (I made a math one with 3 somewhat easy questions and the link was provided after you completed it.

Jigsaws are a fantastic way to do puzzles.

Simply making giveaways level 2+ or higher probably could work for the simple reason that most people using bots are probably not the kind of people who would give back. And if they are the kind who gives back... Well, I have even less of a bone to pick with them

hmm, I will have to experiment with it. But ya level 2+ sounds good.

there are bots in every level, even lv10 (a lot, actually...).

Oh I imagine so, however my personal opinion is that there is probably a much higher concentration in the lowest levels. It's not backed by any strict evidence per say, but...

well there's way more people in lower levels, so you will find more lv0s using autojoin than lv10. :P

Invite only GAs inside normal GAs seems to be their weakness. I've only tried this for regional GAs, so the numbers might be different from region to region, but while the normal/open GAs got 200-300 entries, the invite only GAs inside, got only 10-20, even though they contained better games. Altought I've heard that bots can find those GAs, so, I'm not even sure anymore.

- make wl GAs and invite people you trust
- don't put direct links to your GAs, use small puzzles (like 9 pieces jigidi) or images with URLs to manually write
