The Arcade edition, IMHO, has more content and features than the standard, it's the better choice. I'd just save up and get the arcade version, or just save up and get resident evil 2.

The only difference between AE and Standard are the Season 1 & 2 Characters and Stages...I'm not paying an extra $12 for that (its 19.99 on sale)
Reason: you still have to pay for Season 3 characters and who knows how many other seasons.
Its safe to say that most players only learn a handful of characters...so get Standard and unlock those yourself.

It seems CAPCOM has pulled the Standard Edition of Street Fighter V. Is not on any site except Steam...and for how long?
Standard Edition on the last sale was $7.49
Arcade Edition on Fanatical sale is $19.99
You could upgrade Standard to Arcade Edition for free, minus the DLC characters (which you unlock free with a little grinding)
It's still on grey market sites but I really would like a legit copy.
Reminds me of when Skyrim: Legendary Edition was announced and because owners of the original would get it for free the price of the base game and dlcs went up quite a few notches...not nearly the same but its still mildly irritating
UPDATE: So its on sale again. If you only care for a few characters from the Season passes, this is the way to go...at least until CAPCOM gets bored and finally releases a complete character dlc. I only want Akuma & Sakura right now, maybe Sagat...will try to unlock them this weekend.
