The games being uplay, does that mean that you can redeem them on steam but have to use uplay to play them, or are they 100% completely for uplay without a way to redeem them on steam?

They're uPlay only, no connection with Steam whatsoever.

Anyway, you'd still need uPlay, even if you bought them on Steam.
You'd be missing only the usual Steam perks, such as trading cards.

Yeah, I know. But idk, I would rather get the entire AC series on steam where they're nice and together then all of them on steam, with the exception of 1. Might get the BTA games still, if the price drops enough (which it is doing right now it seems).

you can still add them as non-steam game to Steam client, it would behave exactly same as Steam would run it

The BTA is going down, currently around $4.80. (I locked it at $4.65)
I heard it's not as bad as it was when it started, so I might get into uPlay for such a low amount of money. Yeah, I'm serious!
