Hi,

I've never payed with steam wallet before, so I'm quiete a noob.

I've sold some of those trading cards and have a little money now.
I'm very interessted in max payne 2, which is currently 2.5 € in europe and $ 2.5 in the us
Can i ask somebody to buy me max payne 2 as a gift and give him steam money for that? is that possible or is it just for steam transactions?

thank you in advance

You can't transfer Steam Wallet credit to another wallet. Buy TF2 keys and trade him, or something

+1 but find something that interests the guy who is going to buy Max Payne 2 for you, and that would have the same value (=2.5€)

No, you can't trade funds in your wallet. Doing the market thing you can transfer funds but you are subject to the fees that the market charges.

Doesn't matter who pays the fees, you are still subject to fees, and that's something you should consider before attempting to do it.

It's just for steam transactions.

But you can post on Steamtrades.com or reddit/r/Steamgameswap with something like [H] 2.5 Steam Wallet [W] Max Payne 2

Someone may be interested and ask you to buy a game at that price range on the Steam Store then you two will trade as normal.

There is actually a way to trade with steam wallet, but not many people would go for it. What you can do is ask the person buying you the game to put up a random tf2 item up on the market for ~$2.5 (not including valve cut) and you simply buy it, giving the seller $2.5 in their steam wallet :). Although I'm not sure how the steam market works between different regions, but yeah just an idea ^^

It IS possible. Just put a card on trade for whatever price it is, and tell the person to buy it and tell her to give your card back. ta-da. (although you will lose 15% from fees)

yes you can, if someone is willing to buy something from you for a certain amount, you could just put a crate up for that much and let him buy it
