I like visual novels. But I notice that nudity isn't optional to me. It needs to show me some boobs at certain point. What about you?

A Visual Novel needs to contain nudity for you?

Yes. The N in VN is for nudity.
No. I play (read) for the stories.
Depends. I appreciate both.

I go for the story, not the porn.

I already mentioned at some point in this topic, but if nobody saw it::

Sunrider: Mask of Arcadius is a VN with Turn Strategy and nudity, for free on Steam. You should try it. - http://store.steampowered.com/app/313730/

For me nudity is a huge minus, not a plus. Details as to why that is the case are not important (and honestly I don't know why I'm like this), but I really don't like it.
I find it quite disappointing if a visual novel actually has a good story and presentation (for example "My Girlfriend Is the President") but I get put off by it because they just had to shove sex in it too. :/

If the story contains nudity, yes, why not. If the novel is overly of a mature topic, then also yes, but I don't read visual novels so... I don't care.

I was a little out of myself. Sorry for my behaviour. The letters were floating when I was reading, the sleeping pill kicks in, it lead me into that state of... I don't know what.

I didn't even finish your survey because there was no nudity.

No, it doesn't, but if it had any in the first place, I refuse to buy if it's censored. Bad or not, I'd prefer complete product, I can always skip if it's really so terrible.

Well, I just bought and played my second VN yesterday. Loren The Amazon Princess. Yes, it has romance options. No, it doesn't have nudity AFAIK. It's an amazing Visual Novel / RPG mix and I've never understood the 'stigma' of Visual Novels being exclusively sex simulators.

EDIT: Okay, so Loren The Amazon Princess, the Steam version, is censored. Downloading the demo lets you turn the censorship off but from what I have 'unlocked' so far, there is one scene with nudity (only showing dem bewbz and nipz nipz and unsurprisingly it's a very morrigan(from dragon age: origins)-esque character with bondage) but even then, I'd say it doesn't conflict with how the game 'runs'. It'd be kind of like if Dragon Age had nudity but you wouldn't care because you've gotten enough context and growth with the characters it slides into the story easily enough.

Also, what the hell is with the popular opinion of 'perverts erotica, etc.' that I seem to see a lot(not necessarily in this thread but there's always at least one person) I mean, it's natural. People get attracted to whatever the hell they get attracted to. Anyone could hypothetically look at an erotic-implied scene and get aroused just by the implications. That's attraction. It's like if a girl came up to you and started to speak erotically to you. Assuming you are attracted to girls, you would get aroused. That's kind of how it works. The only difference with it being in games is that self-control is a factor and that it doesn't involve real people ( but what if the character was a real person in real life, how does that change anything when it's still in a video game?).

I mean, I don't mind nudity but I don't deny sexual arousion(?) is a natural instinct and it's not like you can control it without some kind of intervention of sorts(if you know what I mean). What matters is how you treat it, mature or otherwise. I'm not going to see a naked character, giggle, and then look away all shy-like. That's immature. It's not a big deal.

It doesn't need to, but boobies are always welcome.

Case by case.
For example, in Fate/Stay night, the nude scene disrupt whole story tempo.
I will glad to see those pics later.
