Looks good. I'm already a member of QGG so I don't have a problem with making GAs that fit the requirement and it feels like the lack of enforced ratio makes it more likely that people will enter GAs instead of just holding out for the big ones so that they don't "damage" their ratio;
I'm going to be away for the first week of April though so if that's an issue with creating my first monthly, should I reapply in May?
In any case, I'm interested. I hope you are too.

Hello Fluffster. If you were selected to join I would bring you in when you returned and assign you dates on the 2nd and 4th week of each month. The schedule is spaced out so members have about 2 weeks between their two monthly GAs.

I have a lot of unused keys so the double monthly is not a problem really and it seems like the average number of entries is higher than QGG due to the lack of enforced ratio so I think it'll be easier to get 5 entries but hey I'll try it and see if it works for me.

I didn't think the ratio was really a deterrent in QGG. Since you're already making a giveaway a month, that means you can win a game every month and maintain your ratio. And additional giveaways have lighter requirements than the monthly. My ratio is apparently +20.6.
Edit: Oh, but I just realized that the 80%+ requirement is significantly easier to meet than the 90%+ for games with less than 1000 reviews. You'll be fine. :)

I don't think the Won/GA ratio is the deterrent but I think the amount difference is a little. I know I've made GAs for games that were wishlisted by more than 15 people in the group and I ended up with 0 entries. Sure, there is points available and backlogs to consider but a lot of those users are active so I guess they thought the particular game wasn't worth having to make for the difference in amount.
I'm only speculating of course but I can't think of any other reason 15 people would pass on a GA for a wishlisted game with very high odds of winning.

I have to say that it is kinda funny you mention that this group is like QGG. When MDK was in the beginning stages of creating QGG I saw the recruitment thread for QGG and wanted to help him so I suggested using a review system because it was working well with this group as well as another group I'm part of, GGG(Good Games Giveaways). GGG is actually what inspired me to create this one. It uses a date system and review system.
After a long time of thinking about joining QGG I finally did about a week or so ago. I really like the group so far :)

You're welcome, glad to have you with us.
I'm sure your GA it will have many more entries before it ends :)
I'm glad I could help you. If you have any more questions or concerns know you can always contact me.

I'm not sure if you looked at the SG profile from the group or not but a lot of the groups GAs are bundled games. It is 80%+ but it's also only a minimum of 100 Steam purchase reviews which isn't very high and a lot of quality indie games meet these reqs.

I did see that, and I found it rather surprising. I'm guessing that the members in your group aren't mostly buying the same bundles as I am, which may explain why the bundled game giveaways are consistently getting 5+ entries from your group's 27 members, while those same giveaways would struggle to get entries from QGG's 101.
And I now see that your restrictions are more lenient on less popular games - 80%+ for 100 reviews rather than 90%+ - while being more stringent on more popular, 10,000+ review games. Certainly that allows a lot more games in, and avoids the issue of 80%+ games with only 900 reviews being ineligible that I've run into occasionally with QGG.
Regardless, I think the 2 giveaways a month at with 5+ entries requirement is too much for me. I generally tend to buy only one bundle a month, and I'm already a member of one group with a monthly giveaway requirement and another with an every-six-weeks giveaway requirement, so adding an additional 2 giveaways a month feels like I'd be spreading myself too thin. I fear I would then be stressing out over meeting my monthly requirements, and I think we can both agree that SG shouldn't be a stressful experience. :)

I like the idea, and the lack of a ratio requirement, and I'd encourage others to join, but I myself probably won't be joining. I'm in QGG and I struggle to come up with games once a month that will get entries. Entries may be low because of the ratio requirements. I'm rather selective about games I try to win (which contributes to low entry numbers), so I don't have a problem staying above the 1:1 ratio while giving just one game a month. But I often have to track down a good game on sale to give away, rather than give away leftovers from a bundle I bought, so it's kind of a wash on how much I spend on others, and save via wins. Especially if I'm winning games I might not otherwise spend my money on.
It looks like your group gets more entries with fewer group members, which is a plus. But my backlog is still growing, even though I'm being selective, because my available playing time is shrinking. I may have to leave QGG soon, but it has been a very positive experience. I wish your group luck, as well.

I appreciate the well wishes for the group, thank you.

There's no plans to change it from 2 to 1 but if you do change your mind please let me know :)
I do want to suggest Good Games Giveaways, ran by my friends Ghostnight and Heisenbear and I'm a backup in case they need me. GGG only requires 1 monthly and they allow extra GAs in the group. There's some things that are similar between this group and GGG but there's some other things that are very different. You can read all the reqs here. Let me know if you are interested and I'll get ya in :)

You should be getting a friends request from Heisenbear soon :)

Hi Gaztex. As I mentioned above in the OP I was looking for people who have a long history of creating giveaways that meet this group's minimum requirements. Unfortunately I don't see that with your GA history, so I'm going to have to decline you for now. If this changes in the future you are more than welcome to come back and apply for the group. Thank you for showing interest in the group and I do hope you have a good day.

Thank you for the bump Steve! So far we've gotten a new member from it as well as made some friends aware of the group that contacted me with possible referrals. :)
Looking to get at least 1 more member this month.

Hello. I've looked over your account and one of the main things I'm looking for as mentioned above is someone who has a long history of creating GAs that meet the group's minimum requirement and unfortunately I don't see that. I appreciate your interest in the group but I'm going to have to decline your request to join. You are more than welcome to try back in the future though.

Hello. After reviewing your account you don't seem very active in creating GAs and you don't have a long history of creating GA's that meet groups minimum requirements so I'm going to decline your request to join the group. Thank you for your interest in joining. You are more than welcome to apply in the future if these 2 things change.

For anyone considering joining the group know that the recruitment thread is new but we've been part of SG since 2017. I've known most members for several years and the group runs smoothly as the members are not just names on the group list but they are good dependable people.
The groups max capacity is 45 members and as of this moment we have 31, so we are looking for 14 more members to join. At max capacity the schedule is setup so there's 3 group GAs to enter and win each day(on a 30 day month). With keeping the member count low you also have good odds of winning something that you enter for often.

We just recruited a new person this morning. Looking to bring in more members before the beginning of May!
