Just for the future, it's worth checking a few giveaways they won, if they thanked it. Then you can piggyback on that comment and still keep it "private" without bumping a topic and raising awareness to it.
(It's only "private" as out of sight, out of mind; anyone can check and read those comments with a link)

I am aware of that. Have done that before.
It just slipped my mind this time around. Had a very busy day. It was mid-night when I commented in this thread, and I just wanted to get over with it.
