Didn't pay yet but if you get a mail with the order details from the 4 pack of borderlands with the price error, are you getting it if you pay after the sites react normal again?

I've sent as a gift by email to a friend of mine, he needs to log in on gamersgate to redeem it but he can't even register.
In the same time only 3 keys remain in my gamersgate inventory (mine, one I can gift, one I gifted to myself, there is a white interval where normally the key is), so I want to be totally sure.
Even if the gift hasn't been redemmed yet, gifting it detetes it from my inventory?
