Hey there. Tough and close call. Your overall real CV sent could be a little bit higher, if you ask me. But since your real CV sent for public giveaways is much higher than your real CV won for public giveaways, I will make an exception and add you to my WL :)

I understand why you'd want to whitelist people, and I've nothing against that, but if we're being completely honest, isn't the point of this website to give away games for 'free', and having the chance to win games, for 'free'? I mean, I'm here because I have about ZED money to spend on games, and here I have the possibility to get them anyways (which makes people who give away games even more awesome of course), but it might be a good thing to remind oneself of from time to time. (This is not meant to be hostile, I'm just half-playing the devils advocate for a bit here.)
I agree about following rules, a 100%.

Perfectly fine to ask.
You see, I am here for nearly 5 years. And in this time I had to deal with so many leechers, cheaters, liars, *#+holes, ungrateful people that I am just fed up with it. I deliberately did many public giveaways because I did not want SG to turn to a kind of an "elitist club" where only a few could win. Without public giveaways SG would probably die or at least would lose most of it's members, I guess.
But there were so many problems with winners of said public giveaways.
Sometimes the key was re-given or given to a friend (it might even have been sold) and they asked for another one, many times a winner had already many not-activated wins and was still here because all of those infractions were in the past, I was insulted, harassed, sometimes even "threatened" (for a lack of a better word), many winners couldn't give a rats *** to even say "Thank you" after winning and so on.
So in the years I tried many different ways to find a formula to help me get rid of those people. I slowly but steadily raised the entry level, I tried trains, private giveaways, SGTools, region restricted giveaways and such. Whatever I did made the % of the ungrateful winners decline, but I couldn't get rid of them. Here at SG, there are ***holes and cheaters throughout all levels. Ones level doesn't say anything about if they play by the rules or not. Hell, there was a Lvl 10 perma-banned in the last months who only did private giveaways for five of his real life friends to raise his level, so that he can auto-join most public giveaways to raise his winning percentage. Thank god he was finally caught by support.
The straw that broke my back was my last thread that I did where someone even wrote down a failsafe method for any winner of a giveaway to lie and cheat and to trie to enforce the giveaway creator to hand over a second key.
That was it for me. I am done with public giveaways. I tried for nearly five years to give my excess keys away on SG in a way that many people had a chance to win those games and to hopefully find a winner that is happy that he got a game for free. Now I just gave up. In the future I am only doing giveaways for my whitelist because that guarantees that I am only dealing with nice people that help to keep this site alive, who give more than they win and who appreciate a win.
Sorry for the long answer. Guess I had to finally get it off my chest.

Man, I feel sorry for you that your disappointment has reached such a high level you were pushed to such measures. I perfectly understand though and hope your new tactics (for a lack of a better word) is more satysfying now :)
Out of curiosity – have you had any unpleasant experience with a winner since you've started creating whitelist-only giveaways?

Should have phrased it more clearly. Just wanted to know you view through the context of your personal WL requirements :)
Its unfortunate that i can't qualify for WL but i guess that can't be helped given the nature of some of the groups i am in.
The group giveaways you are talking about are actually part of various groups, there is a group where there is a separate point system rule from SG, to kinda make things more interesting i guess? Most of the better giveaways you see are part of an exclusive group for people that want to give good games but want their winners to play too, so requirements are a bit harsher so lesser members, thus fewer entries. Whereas some of the fewer entries ones are for other groups that maybe because users already have the game or they just simply don't want it.
TLDR: The group giveaways are for various groups with various rules, quality of the games are a good indicator of the groups
P.S. Just ask me if you want further details, i don't mind.

I'm just careful when I see things like that. There was a time - I think 2017, maybe even 2016 - when support banned quite a lot of people. Those people were in small, private groups consisting of five members to a maximum of ten members. Within these groups they passed giveaways around. A would create a giveaway, B to F enter, B would Win, B would make a new giveaway, A/C/D/E/F enter and so on. Thus they boosted their CV to enter legitimate giveaways by other users. There were some of those groups around but luckily support caught many of them. So that's why I was sceptical. Please don't take it personal :)

So, do you think I qualify to be whitelisted?
I do a lot of invite-only giveaways, they are either part of various "events" like the Community Trains or for me to be able to protect them with a basic SGTools filter ;)
I'm not really a "pillar of the community" though, lol.

Oh, so you're one of those people who cares about the "real CV" crap :/ Alright.

Thank you!
I have been reading comments here and I realised some people are confused about CV ratiosyou want. Maybe instead of saying you shall have given away way more than you have won you could define an acceptable ratio for your WL. This can save you some time too :)

Well, I don't have a set ratio. Of course I'd like to see a ratio of 2 sent to 1 won in real CV, but I don't solely go for this. There might be a person who is 1:1 and has given 25 games and won 400. But all those 400 wins might be small bundled games and all his 25 giveaways may be full value (50 CV) and unbundled games. In this case looking only at ratio would disqualify him but looking at the unbundled giveaways may qualify him. You know what I mean? :)

Everyone likes Sushi! ^^
And I like your idea! Stay the generous person you are! <3

Not sure if I qualify, but I'll throw my name into the hat anyways :)
I don't give away as many games as I used to, but when I do I try and make sure they're decent quality and/or in high demand.

I know who you are from the forums and I checked you quite a lot in the past. Sadly, I can not add you. Your real CV won is nearly twice as high as your real CV sent so to be quite blunt, considering the numbers, you are the opposite of who I am looking for. Sorry :-/

Maybe i already asked you in the past too, i don't know.
But that's because of won stuff like The Sonic/Dreamcast collection, which someone also just buys for $2 bucks and the likes yet get 100 worth of cv (although bundled) but that sort of thing also goes back for a winner that it immediately bring them 100p down, same goes for things that are expensive and from humble bundle monthlies like Mortal Kombat.
And you are adding a bunch of people that are just too new to have won more games to get a bad ratio (and since the new point system, have alot less chance on winning) added with just a $1 bundle they given, and also even some that did a bunch of group ones with <10 people but whatever.
You taking them over someone who done plenty of jigidi's (hundreds) and made people happy according to your rule but others who gave a bunch of cheap (viva) bundles who were slightly unlucky in winning enough, gets your whitelist.
I have 200 more sents, maybe not real cv, but that doesn't count why, because it's "bundle trash" / real cv not racking up so much because i can't afford much more expensiver tiers or a humble monthly?
I am not angry about it or anything, but just saying how going on the raw system can be a bit crooked. Have a nice weekend.

The numbers given out by SG can safely be ignored. They don't represent what's really up. You said it yourself: Someone buys a game for 2 bucks that is worth 100CV. Real CV tries to correct this flaw. So the only numbers I take into consideration are http://www.sgtools.info/sent/Lugum/newestfirst versus http://www.sgtools.info/won/Lugum/newestfirst. And those numbers are not on your side. Sorry.
Edit: Since you edited your post I will edit mine as well :D I am sorry that you feel rejected, that was not my intention. But please accept that I will not add you to my WL. Thank you and have a nice weekend yourself :)

There is no need to link, but still for some reason to you 200 sents more (meaning 200 people more that are enjoying a game from me (but also to others who got more sents) that means nothing to you, you can't really give a good explanation why you would count that as any less.
And you do whitelist people with half that have been group ones (in a circle jerk) and the rest added with a Viva Bundle, that were just unlucky still to have won enough to get a more bad raw cv.
Kudos to all good real gifters with 600 sents and 10 wins and the likes, and some people whitelist by that, but you are not doing that but also those who barely just got here and examples like that, it's just weird.
I don't care one single bit about being in your whitelist or not, but i think i am free to state my opinion on it by the system you maintaining your whitelists.
I have only checked your last 20! pages and i don't know how far it goes, but all were whitelist only and level 7+ / region ones thus created it's own elitism, you asking people to have done public ones but alot just aren't level 7 and with that you leaving out alot of people yourself, and why you wouldn't have been on mine either anyway.

Well, NOLF 1 & 2 were really great games, so.. :)
Considering WL I have to decline. You are too inactive for my personal taste with 51 giveaways in four years. Sorry. Please don't take it personal.
Oh, btw: It's not highly exclusive, at least not for me ^^

Current Whitelist count: 284 :)
Important update June 2024
Hello there.
My views on this changed, so I will post an update. All these criteria have just one goal: To find active members of SG who don't cheat, don't leech, don't game the system, do play fair and are contributing to this site with giving away more then they win.
Aaaaaaand that's it! Kinda easy to get on my Whitelist, isn't it? ;)
