The gameplay shown in the trailer does not look very interesting, but if my memory serves, Platinum Games has a rather good track record. So yeah, looking forward to this, and as I only know G1, I really don't mind them sticking with it (I don't know if anything else transformers related was given a wide release, I know that some cartoon was aired here 10 or so years ago, but I don't know anything about it). I hope they go with the comic book continuity, as that one was actually quite good (and I say that as someone who does not really care for comic books).

Also revealed at E3: Transformers Devestation.
Published by Activision. Trailer here. PC version has also been announced, although trailer doesn't list that.
On the plus side, they're sure getting the comic book look/ 80's cartoon vibe right.
On the downside, they're going for nostalgia and going back to Generation 1 again. I'm just going to assume this does not fit in with any of the different Generation 1 continuities for good measure.
I know nostalgia's strongest with the old designs, but I'd rather have seen a take on the newer series, ie, TF Prime / Robots in Disguise. (The latter is currently airing so that would make more sense)
Not developed by High Moon Studios (so far the only ones to more or less get Transformers games right). That would get my hopes down, if it weren't for the fact that this time Platinum Games is getting a shot, and trailer footage strongly suggests that this'll be along the lines of Legend of Korra. Just hope they can do something interesting with the transforming mechanics, instead of limiting that to cutscenes...
