What is your favorite memory involving alcohol?
I haven't been to Pattaya, but I have been to Patong Beach after dark. I loved it. Freaky ... and not just in a good way. There were bearded ladies, which is awesome on so many bizarre levels.

The GAs end on Christmas Thailand time. I've just moved back here, this time to Pattaya, and it's just the damn sleaziest place I've ever seen. Thrust up against the rest of the world's seedy bourgeoisie--Las Vegas, Tijuana, and even nearby Bangkok--Pattaya makes them all look as chaste as Medina and as prude as Hester Prynne. The fairest assessment I can give is that for being a God-forsaken, libertine, bacchanalian hellhole full of sex-addled misfits, I kind of like it anyway. Pattaya is for f***ing weirdos. Literally, if you're into that.
