tier 3 bundle games are usually not counted as bundle games here. so it's not really important if this is called a bundle or not.

yeah I didn't realize that till I read all the other posts... haha

that's good to know :)

But then, this is only tier3 bundle...

I guess it all depends what will be in bundle. If total it will be $50, it won't be a SG-bundle. If $200, it will be SG-bundle.

I think it all will depend from how expensive are that games in Steam. If $12/6 = $2 is 10% or less from game price in US Steam, then yes, almost for sure.

I'd guess it would depend on the discount the bundle offers compared to the normal price of the games. There have been other bundles that weren't added to the list due to a lower discount.

It's getting rather difficult to even find something more than 2 months old that is not on the bundle list, so I generally like to assume that everything is on it. Or will be added retroactively eventually.

Well yeah, but you have to pay around 7 - 8 bucks more to get 1 - 2 games (3rd tier). Here It's $12 for like 6 - 7 games. So for me it's bundle material.

In this bundle one game will be "worth" ~$2. And in normal bundle 1 game from 3rd tier is worth 5 - 10 $ (depending if it's one or two games).

Math where? For T3 you pay normaly 12-15$ to get T1, T2 & T3 which means you are getting at the moment with Jumbo 5 eight or nine games and only T3 isnt bundled for SG. You have to pay at the moment 3 $ more for T3 than T2 what mean, that one game costs 1,5$. With Capcom Bundle you got 10 games + DLC Bundle for Resi 5 for 15$ and the BTA on T2 was at the end around 9,5$. So each game for 1,5$ and only T3 was a bit more "expensive" with ~3$.

Comment has been collapsed.

Well like when you have to pay $5 for BTA and around $15 for tier 3? It used to be like this few times and you had to pay $10 for one game.

Or even with Deep Silver Bundle where BTA was ~5 and tier 3 was $25. I'm not talking about cases when difference between BTA and tier 3 is small.

But its very often that the T3 isnt that high. I mean its normal that it costs 12/15$ and the normal BTA price is around 6/7$. And you still get - with knowing of what you get - more games with T3 than normaly with the monthly. I mean it would be fair and nice if the bundles with every tier would checked individiual, but I guess thats to much work

And you can not upgrade the monthly by increasing the amount you paid. This method is often used here in the forum with the two tasks opend ;)

Depending on the number of games, 12$ could be expensive enough for not being considered bundled games (95% if I'm not mistaken). Thanks for the GA.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Depends on the overall price reduction of the bundle compared to their US retail prices. When the price reduction exceeds 95% it would be tagged as "bundled"
In general that would mean that a monthly bundle with the US steam value of less than 240 dollars would not be considered as bundled.
Still it's up to the admins and as it is still a bundle it might be treated as one.
Additionally there have been exceptions from this rule when it came to TIER 3 games in the normal Humble Bundle.

Edit: I'm super late

Even $9 games in the current bundle aren't added to the list. I doubt $12 ones will be.

Comment has been collapsed.

really?
Divinity: Dragon Commander - 40$ %5 = 2$
Spintires - 30$ %5 = 1.5$
70$ %5 = 3.5$
With current HB price they cost 9 - 5.9$(BTA) = 3.1$
which is lower price than %95 discount. No idea what kinda equation they use to count them as nonbundled games O_o

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Because you can't spend $3.1 to ge them. You need to spend $9.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

You can get it for that price from a groupbuy.
Well if you do the math on the full bundle it is even worse..
60$ contagion 4 pack
15$ insurgency
25$ Abyss Odyssey 2 pack
40$ Blackguards
35$ Blackguards 2
15$ MoW Assault Squad GOTY

190$ + 70$ Divinity+Spintires = 260$

9$ is %3.4 of 260$

Ah not to mention there will be even more games added to the bundle next week..

Nah, it's too expensive converting to my currency (Brazilian Real). I don't think it's a good deal, assuming that no AAA games will be included in these monthly bundles.

I'm not sure, but at least I think they won't count the value of first-time extra (like LoG2 this time)

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It will depend on the price of games in it... I guess if it gets more than 95% off the original price, it will probably count as bundled... If it gets lower than 90%, I guess it won't...
I highly doubt it will get to more than 95%, so I guess not... but maybe...

Well, I would definitely try it if I didnt have so many games already. But I think it is highly possible that there will be games I already own in it, so pass from me. Most likely games in it won't be counted as bundled I think.

Comment has been collapsed.

I don't think so. Considering the subscription preview game (Legend of Grimrock 2) was offered for a long time, and it wasn't bundled anyways for the time being makes me positive, that neither the bundle will be considered as "Bundled Games".

But for example, when they bundle stuff together around 1k Pure Contribution Value for only 12$, it will be considered as bundled imo :D Getting level 10 for just like 60 bucks? That would be pretty much unfair.

Maybe, it depends how much are valued the games, I guess.

pro-tip - dont create GAs because of CV/levels - create GAs for sake of creating GAs and levels will come along.

I do, don't you worry dear buddy. I asked this mainly out of curiosity :)

And I think my level is high enough for me to be concerned about this stuff, altough I imagine there are people even higher than me complaining about CV...

Title question: Will games from Humble Monthly count as bundled?
Poll question: Will you try out Humble Monthly?

My answer for the Title question: No
My answer for the Poll question: Yes

It wouldn't hurt to ask the same question in the title and in the poll, at least if you want the result to have any value.

Well, since people aren't really sure about the bundle thing, I think it worked out just fine. The poll was just to satisfy my curiosity :3

It'll include some expensive games seeing the monthly $12 fee. They won't be counted as bundled usually, but if GAs are flooded with those, they'll be counted as bundled in order to discourage people from giving away them.
Anyway it's region locked here (again). I don't have any choice but not to buy.

Square-Enix XY (Christmas, Easter) surprises have not been added. Like Hitman Absolution - Elite Edition (http://www.steamgifts.com/bundle-games/search?q=hitman) or Murdered Soul (http://www.steamgifts.com/bundle-games/search?q=murdered added in February after a HB bundle, but was part of the Christmas pack last year).
My explanation: because you do not know what you are buying - but it is not necessarily the reason.
