What is the difference from Non-Retail and Retail?

Non-retail means that they were bought from steam in the usual sense of the terminology, but can be expanded upon to include any digital purchase that was not from a shop.

Retail usually refers to any key that can be redeemed on steam, but can also be expanded upon to say that any game bought from a shop, is a retail copy.
