I watched It when I was like 8 years old. Somehow I never developed a fear of clowns.

I did and there was also a machete wielding clown that liked to decapitate people in the series Demontown.
I never liked to go to the circus because of them.

There was this giant snake and for some reason I was up on the roof. It was in the morning but I knew I was supposed to be in school and I couldn't seem to climb away from the snake...
That's all I remember, all I've ever been able to remember. I've had the nightmare on multiple occasions since it first occurred when I was in grade school. It's the only dream I have ever had any recollection of.
It's odd since I'm not afraid of heights, was never late for school, have no fear of snakes, and in fact live where there are no dangerous snakes, let alone giant ones. The brain is a funny little thing.

Imagined (as in, not something I've dreamt of), probably the house burning down.
Real (as in, something I dreamed)... it's a weird recurring one that I can't describe very well that usually only happens when I'm feverishly sick and has only happened once in the past ten years (used to be more frequent when I was much younger). There's a suffocating frustration about the size of a rolling smooth-surfaced sphere and its inability to come into contact with something hiding in the edge of a room, because the sphere is just too large and its shape won't allow it to touch. It's fairly OCD-style frustrating, and it drives dream-me nuts.
Either that or the late-for-class-and-didn't-do-the-assignment dream.
