G500 master-race, although I really do miss my MX518. The un-ratcheting scrollwheel on the G500 is godly though

I have one too and can't stand it. I wonder if others have the same issue as me?
Randomly, the reader just craps out on me and say the y axis won't work at all or maybe the x axis. I pick it up, shake it, and it works again. It'll do it once every couple of days. Sometimes it's not an axis problem, the whole thing just doesn't read right and the cursor is all jittery all over the screen. The side buttons are cheap too and got me a replacement under warranty. I'm actually looking for a new mouse now because I'm sick of the inconsistent reader.

Still a gaming mouse right?
I was going to buy one pretty much the same as that, except it was dark grey the skin, and without the X7 logo. I reconsidered and bought two other gaming mouse to go with my computer, one pro-gaming and one that was simplified use. Both were cheap, around 38€ for both. Given the other options i saw which costed 80€ for a single mouse, pfft...

A4Tech mice and keyboards have best value to price ratio I've seen. I keep using them for almost 15 years.
Can't say the same about all their other products, though. I've had two headphones, one had incredibly good sound for a 10 EUR (comparable to Steelseries Siberia V2) but earpieces were too small for me and it hurt to use them for a longer time. The others I have now have good earpieces, but sound quality is worse and bail is way too large. The same for Hyperion gamepad - my hands are way to small to handle it comfortably.

That's exactly what I have too. And it looks better in reality.

Well, mine got yellow in some places where I'm holding it (the finger on RMP etc, etc), I think it's because of sweat or something, so I guess it doesn't look better in reality :D But I've been using it for over 5 years, probably. I never any problems with it too.

not entirely certain. I think it was something like $5-15 when this computer store near me shut down, its a few years old, has logitech stamped on the bottom, its wireless but the receiver is slightly larger than my 16gb flashdrive and I lost the battery cover and have replaced it with a bit of cardboard off a pizza box :P
but its comfortable to hold(size mostly, but also shape, its not weirdly thin in the middle like some)where alot of mice feel to small for my hand(I don't know if I have crazy giant hands(didn't think so) or if you're only supposed to hold a mouse with your fingertips now or what but half of the new ones feel made for a child) and it actually works really well. I like the scrollwheel and I never like the scrollwheel(they always feel loose or oddly resistant or something).
also its got two buttons on the side where your thumb would be but no so dead on they'd be in the way and accidentally clicked. easily reached but you have to press them intentionally which I like, even if I rarely use them.
its this sort of green gray color on top black on the bottom.....if anybody knows what it is? i feel like the details were probably on the battery plate
then again I'd still be using my even larger old wired non optical mouse if it matched any of my ports so probably not the best one to ask

Just the standard mouse that came with my computer, it works fine.

I feel like we're just rehashing old threads.
Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical 1.0A USB. Thirteen years strong.

I had one of the old Intellimouse Explorers for years, It died a long time ago though =( I tried so many mice to find a reasonable replacement and it was only in the last couple of months I managed to find one I actually like more.
Those old Microsoft mice were excellent.

I actually hated the Explorer. I didn't like the contours. The original IntelliMouse, though. Can't beat it. After so many years using it, nothing else feels remotely right in my hand. :P
I need to pick up some spares so that if this one ever dies I'll have a replacement ready. As you say, though, they're prohibitively expensive nowadays.
