Anybody knows why COD:Ghosts jumped in price overnight? o.o

I think it is because of the region locked to be honest, pre-order versions are often RoW and now the pre-orders are added to the Steamdb as normal editions, or whatever i can't explain it that well sorry :P

em, where did those cheap ghosts gifts come from? I really have no idea about that. RU pre orders had already been locked since it came out. Other steam stores like PL, BR have very similar price to EU and US. There are no huge difference.

Tho on a related note, a lot of the versions got region locked and that is what did cause the price spike, nothing new it has happend to other titles in the past aswell.

I think they figured out CoD fanboys will buy at any price.
By the way, this reminds me of Roller Coaster Tycoon umbrellas... You could boost the price to $20 and they still would buy it when it rained... Good old games.

Ahhhh the good old days of roller coaster tycoon... Or putting a "No Entry" sign over the exit to the park so the guests couldn't leave on the levels where you needed a certain number of guests.

AFAIK sellers at RU/CIS found a way to buy the game (ROW version) for cheap, now Valve just blocked it and sellers can buy it anymore.

Team Fortress 2 keys, you can get them from the in-game store in TF2, from the marketplace of Steam or from traders. It's like a 'currency' to buy games from traders.
