I had made a support ticket regarding a steamtrades issue 2 weeks ago, haven't received any reply yet. I was just wondering if this is the normal time period or is it that the mods might have ignored my support ticket?

steamtrades has no moderation, so your ticket is pointless ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

SteamTrades is abandoned and therefore no longer supported.

Are you sure? One of my friends said he got his -Rep removed by the mods once.

Did that happen before or after ST was abandoned?
Anyway, I won't say it's 100% certain your ticket will be completely ignored, but considering ST is abandoned it's probably at the very bottom of supports priority list and that list is huuuuuge. So I definitely wouldn't count on that.

I see. Do you have any idea when ST was abandoned?

October 26, 2016.

It was deintegrated from Steamgifts to signify the fact that SteamTrades was no longer going to receive support, so that should be the date of the abandonment. As part of the deintegration process, cg removed all protections from the site, but added a user review system for feedback moderation.
Since then, the only interaction staff has had with SteamTrades has been cg tweaking layout and advertisment settings. More notable, the deintegration made it so that it is an entirely separate site, so SG staff (other than cg) can no longer interact with it even if they wanted to. So, in fact, Chibi's initial comment in this nesting should be reversed: SteamTrades is no longer supported, and therefore abandoned.

Hmm..but I don't understand why it was abandoned. It's really good site, many people use it. Little moderation would make it greater. The admin should've appointed a mod or 2 instead of abandoning it I guess.

SG on its own lacks in adequate updating and moderation both. By switching full staff attention to SG, this site can mitigate those weaknesses rather than emphasizing them further. In short, it was a question of prioritization of available resources. While I don't entirely agree with all the specifics of how cg went about it, I definitely respect the premise for why he did it. SG is leagues ahead of other giveaway sites, while SteamTrades has always faltered as a trading site, despite the reliance put on its feedback system by various sites. Trimming underperforming components to focus on maintaining your core, that's just a basic of business management.

Barter.vg doesn't handle open-ended offers as well, and it has had an issue with bot-spammed low-quality/preference-ignoring offers of late, but the site is rich in search and organization features, the ability to ignore problematic traders, and more. I'd definitely recommend you give it a try, if you haven't already.

Maybe your friend got his -rep removed by community votes.

Steamtrades only has a community vote on reviews feature and no moderation.

There's no support on steamtrades. The admin has split steamgifts and steamtrades into 2 different domains and abandoned the steamtrades site, so nobody will be able to help you there. It has become the scammer's paradise. And they don't really answer to tickets in general (although they do answer to reroll tickets), so yeah, you wouldn't get an answer anyway.

I guess why, 'if this site has nothing to do with steamtrades', steamgifts.com has a button called "Trades" on the top left corner linking to steamtrades.com :/

Its just not up to date. The FAQ and guidelines was not up to date for more than 1 year and was updated just some weeks ago.

Tickets for SG takes 1+ years to response.
So, tickets for ST would take 2+ years to response.

You made the assumption that tickets on steamgifts apply to issues on steamtrades.
This assumption was wrong and founded on incorrect information.

@LastImage: Oh, wow. Haven't thought of meekakitty in a while.
It's not even close to her best song (in fact, it wears on you rather easily), but I have a soft spot for the narrative of Hey, Listen. Adds a lot to a series known for its weak character depth. I mean, the theme was totally done before with Tinkerbell in Hook, but it's a good theme, and it really emphasizes an element of the Zelda series that we don't really give any thought to while playing the games.
