I haven't seen it too often, but I'm not looking that often.
Personally I find it kind of a slap in the face for the people who bought it early and still have to wait to play it.
Those who bought it later get it cheaper and still get to play at the same time.

Those slaps in the faces could be prevented if we wouldn't act like developers do this for the first time ever, and we would just ignore preorders. Personally I have 0 sympathy for poor-poor adult people who spend their money in a way for a future thing, then later, but still in time there was a better deal. Publishers are not your friend. They don't care about your feelings, or "support" of buying it weeks or months early, they care about your supporting money.
People should just grow up and either deal with a changing landscape of prices from the point of their purchase, or stop preordering games. You don't get to buy something at full price wellllllllll before time of use, then still bitch about things not staying the same.

I'd be tempted to get Shadow Tactics if the customer gets to choose, but since it's chosen by Fanatical seemingly randomly, it's a hard pass for me.

I did that sometime ago when it was for also like 12€ and they promised bonus game. So I bought 10 mystery games and got one bonus game for spending. My bonus game was Smoke and sacrifice. Then opened first game in bought mystery game... got Smoke and sacrifice.

I'm not even surprised that the bonus games come from the random pool. They only promise quality through review rate, not being expensive, fresh, or not having been featured in a bundle / deal. It's an extra, but not something people really should gamble on... it's cheaper to gamble with the mystery bundles :P
