Look blacklisting is utterly unimportant. Do not give it a thought. People blacklist for all their silly little reasons, I do that, too.
You should really not let it get to you and just move on.
In the end, it's their games, they just don't want to share with you. Let them have their choice :)

Please keep in mind that any game that has been available for free in large quanities anywhere is considered a free game and not just games that are free directly on Steam. Basicly if you didn't pay for it you shouldn't give it away here.

I have honestly lost the desire to care anymore about being blacklisted. This community is as dead to me as I am to it. I'm tired of being consistently treated like dogshit by this community on a regular basis in almost every single thread, even when I am civil and courteous and do everything right, so I should stop biting my tongue until it bleeds. If I post on the forum, I will be blacklisted. It's pointless to fret over such inevitabilities, so I don't.

First: it doesn't matter, 17 is a very low number.
Second, there might be things that are not exactly "wrong", but that people dislike and might blacklist you for: for example, have you always thanked the people you won giveaways from?

I've got 31, for more then likely no reason at all (maybe from people I have blacklisted because they broke rules). Meh, don't bother me, lots more friendly people out there.

Maybe you didn't comment in a giveaway that required it.
Maybe you did comment in a giveaway when they didn't want any comments.
Maybe you didn't say thanks for giveaways you've won.
Maybe you won a giveaway someone really wanted badly.
Maybe people didn't like your avatar or something on your profile.
Maybe the blacklist fairies sprinkled a bit a dust on you and made people blacklist you for giggles.
Pick any of those reasons, or others that I never mentioned, no one but the people who did it know why.

I can see two clear reasons for at least some of the blacklisting. First one being giving away a free game (as per your original post), the second reason is not thanking people you've won something from.

You posted comments. People will blacklist for any reason really. Some will blacklist because they don't like your name, others may have felt insulted by you etc. And as said before, 17 is a very small amount. I'm personally at 32, but 101 whitelists...
