Hi! I just got into collecting trading cards, and I was wondering if you guys know a place like Steam Trades or maybe large steam groups or anything where one can offer, trade, sell and/or buy trading cards.

Im starting to get obsessed with this stuff, please help me in my new acquired desease.

Do you like to collect cards?

Nah, they don't interest me at all and if you want I can gift you all my cards
Nah, they don't interest me and I sell them on the Steam Market as soon as possible to get more games
They look cool on my inventory but they carry no interest
I try to get cards from a set to make badges and level up
I'm into colecting cards and I try to make badges and keep always a full set of cards.
Please save me from this trading cards hell

i use http://www.steamtradematcher.com/ for trading my duplicates for other peoples duplicates within the same game, and https://www.steamcardexchange.net/ to get rid of cards for games i don't like.

Second this.

  • STM saves your time looking through inventory (which is very resource intensive to load) and pick the cards (if you use the userscript). Also, if you trade with card bot via STM, you gets the cards instantly.
  • SCE gives you a fair cross-set card exchange, which is based on market price, better than those 2:1 traders on virtually every trading thread.

I use Tradematcher for myself to. But is steamcardexchange good at all? Everytime I check for cards I would like to have, it would be better to sell some unwanted and buy the cards directly from marked.

Made the same experience. Cards of good/unbundled games are rarely provided (not available or expensive last one), so it's more for "complete any set".

A flaw with SCE is that trash cards which sells for 3-5 cents on market (you get back 1-3 cents) will give you 4-6 credit when traded in, which means 4 trash cards which worth from 4-12 cents in total can get you a card which worth from 16-24 cents if bought from market. As a result, more expensive cards get withdrawn almost immediately as they appear on SCE.

it's usually out of cards i actually want. when i have credits there i refresh my wishlist page frequently until something comes up for a game i'm trying to get cards for, then grab it. often i end up grabbing duplicates and then going to STM to make some trades to complete a set.

+1 on STM. Also check the Public ASF STM listing, since not every bot shows as bot on STM.

I don't really care about the cards themselves but I really like crafting badges for games that I have enjoyed. Never used any tool, group or site. Straight buy from the Community Market which sometimes comes really pricey. But hey, what good is money if we can't even satisfy one silly obsession.

Other than the aforementioned SteamTradeMatcher, I also use this group: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/honestmerchants :)
To be fair, it's been a while since I last used it but I don't think much changed in the meantime..

I usually use STM to make sets, sometimes buy directly from market. Admittedly I've also been lazy sometimes and trade in cards to buy sets on steamlvlup, there are also a lot of bots that have some type of trade in a CSGO key for card sets services but I haven't tried those.

Don't stop there. Be a badge collector too.

Like others said,

http://www.steamtradematcher.com/ for quick and easy 1:1 trade
install the userscript to automate the card selection when trading.

http://steamcommunity.com/groups/honestmerchants 1:1 fair trade group.

https://www.steamcardexchange.net/ Steam Card Exchange (SCE)
you can use their bot to trade unwanted cards for credit ( I usually just sell it on the marketplace. Too many competition when trading with the bot / bot might not have the card you want, rendering your credit useless, etc).
you can use the showcase to see the card price, badge, emoticon, and background of the game.

Enhanced Steam has the option to link SCE's showcase on the game badge page.

One site that's not been mentioned is http://steam.tools
http://steam.tools/cards/ also provides links to badge, store, market, and SCE's showcase page.

Cards are reason why everyone on steam is looking to make MONEY. Regardless if it's person who says "only morons pay for cards" or "let's sell a game for 1$ and hope it will get money". It's more of Digital Homicide/Silicon Echo fame. ZUP! series is also responsible for BOTH achivement AND card craze.
