Just get the PS1 version and grab a playstation 1. I'd say it's worth it... X4 was pretty good.

I know I might get a fist in the face by some users here but really when it comes to older games like this that are not produced anymore certain ways of acquiring them aren't so unmoral.

Isn't it legal to get by means of that way the so called abandonware? I though so, not that I'm promoting anything, just a doubt that has arised in me.

Not sure, for some thing I know it is...might have to reach a certain point or get an OK.

I don't think that this is abandonware and not every software becomes abandonware but AFAIK it is legal to have a copy when you bought the game at some time (e.g. when you had the PS1 version you can download the game for an emulator).

Ok, I was only asking. I'm not sure what is considered abandonware and what not, only that I heard that and wanted to know if it was true. What I did knew was the other part, having copies of products you have adquired as security copies or backups.

Copyright can expire but in most countries only after some centuries after the death of the producer (I don't know if this is true for software, but for other things it is)

Just make a wishlist on GOG and wait. For the mean time, well, the internet is a sea full of resources.

True GOG is pretty nice because of this.

I'd agree with this... though I haven't used emulations in a long time so the rules might've changed o_o'
