I didn't mean the steamdb link, I meant the curator tagid which was applied by steamdb automatically when OP went from steamdb to the game's steam official page. Steamdb does have their own curator page on steam. I can see how they could get sponsorships etc. through that and it seems unfair as to why let's say indiegala, dig, fnatical, g2a or some other private third party wouldn't be allowed to do it.
I'm probably the least bothered by it compared to all the other sites and places that do this though, because it's a pretty clean and efficient and simple site and doesn't shove 30 ads into my face when I go to it.
I wouldn't mind seeing 1 shy add somewhere in a corner where it's not very intrusive, problem is that's how it starts and they add more, and more, longer, unskippable, gotta press 30 buttons to get to the content, etc. so I'm always going to use an adblocker and when I can't I'm just not going to browse anymore I'll probably finally play my backlog. So I appreciate him adding none, but if he would add a non-intrusive one and keep to just that one to help him a little bit, I wouldn't mind it.
As for the running costs, I'm a little surprised but maybe also not, it doesn't provide some of the other features other sites do, things like forums with thousands of profiles, inventories, threads, comments and tickets, or prices across every other reseller and even grey market sellers, bundle histories, etc. which would increase costs dramatically, and getting 1 single source data just from steam and displaying that can't be that costly. It does do a better job than other sites at displaying steam data cleaner though. The guy did a good job and maintains it, still for less than $100 it's impressive, I wonder how many active users it has every hour/day/month/year.

Yeah, I tried to say the link to the steam page he originally posted, had the steamdb curator link, like it wasn't some super shady curator, or it wasn't op's curator id or soemthing, steamdb automatically placed their own curator id link to the page because he went from steamdb to the steam page, but I can understand how that still gives an advantage to the steamdb dev. Kind of like an affiliate link from a youtuber you like but still didn't ask for for a product you didn't get informed about from them. Affiliate links should vanish off the internet imo but that will likely never happen.

yep. i used steam db to access the steam store page. thats probably why it had that part attached to the link. I didn't even notice. but ill copy links directly through steam next time.
But about the SteamDB page itself, is that one fine to post? Some people, me included, like checking those.

A friend of mine showed me this game that is going to be removed from all stores soon.
It's called "ZED", seems to be some sort of Walking Sim, with VR compability.
I have absolutely no idea if it's good, but I got it anyways.
It's gonna be 94% until May 14th, and then it'll be removed.
