Hi everyone! 👋
Many of us use SteamTrades, but unfortunately, the site doesn’t have a built-in dark mode. Browsing at night or in low-light environments can be pretty uncomfortable.

That’s why I created a Chrome extension that adds a sleek and eye-friendly dark theme to SteamTrades.

You might be right,
but since the plugin doesn’t do anything special other than enabling dark mode, I chose this approach.

However, your point is also valid.
If they allow it, I might change it.

Hijack All Alien? 😅　Even if you meant it as a joke, I think this is inappropriate.
We can read the privacy policy you disclosed, but we can't read the source code, can we?
Also, if the discussion category is Add-on, it is incorrect, so please correct it.

I think you’ve never uploaded a plugin to the Chrome Store before and you’re not aware of its strict policies.
I created a plugin with the help of AI, but I wrote all the CSS myself.

Rest assured, if there was any serious issue, the Chrome Store wouldn’t allow you to upload the plugin.
The reason I put that text on my GitHub was because the Chrome Store required me to provide a link. I asked Gemini and it suggested this solution to me since I don’t have extensive knowledge about building extensions, but I am familiar with front-end development.

I don't really trust Chrome's add-on review process, as it sometimes gets overlooked during updates.
I was also wondering why there were add-ons that provided dark mode, as they have been around for 10 years.
