Indeed, their page implies that the code only works for the games that come up when you click their coupon.
About the referral link, while cult was mod, he had allowed GMG referrals like you said. However, a few days back, I saw a post by cg that said ALL referrals were not allowed (I am not sure whether this still excluded the GMG referrals and so I stopped posting the gmg deals and referrals after that)... Source He said "referral programs" there, which covers them all really, so I didn't bother to ask about the exception provided for GMG previous to his post by cult (when he said they are ok in his opinion; this post by cg precedes it however, so again makes it look like it is no longer allowed)...
I wish cg or one of the mods would clear the air on this one though...
