Is this a remedy for your boredom?
This is a public service announcement:
A reminder that you can set what portion of the proceeds go to charity and what to the publisher. So if, for example, you have a moral conundrum about giving your money to a dubious corporation that's shopping for IPs that they can use to prop up their badly set up storefront, then you can buy this whole bundle by giving Epic Games a whooping 0,01$.
I really wanted to play Alan Wake 2, but I told myself I never would pay for anything on the Epic Games Store. I feel fine about being a 0,01$ worth of a hypocrite. ;)

So basically you feel entitled to a product, but choose not to pay the people that invested money to get you that product. Not only that, you encourage others to do the same and turn it in some sort ridiculous statement about your rights and promises to yourself you must keep.

Jesus Christ... what a takeaway.
To fund the production of Alan Wake 2 Remedy got almost a blanc checque from Epic, who was willing to eat a huge slice of the production costs as long as they had a bait for their store. Remedy was just interested in the game being out as long as some revenue from it arrives at some point. Whey wanted to make the game, but didn't want to take the risk of funding it so they made a pact with the devil. So where does Alan Wake 2 stand in this? I like Remedy (somewhat), but I don't like Epic (more than i like Remedy). Is AW2 a good thing or a bad one? I don't know. :/
Seeing as Remedy has a different partner for releasing Control 2 i don't mind paying for that one as long as it gets out on Steam. Who knows, maybe I'll even buy 2. :) Wouldn't be the first time I felt a bout of generosity. I gifted each of my closest friends a copy of Hades. That's how much I like the game and Supergiant. I don't mind supporting companies that I approve of. Does that still make me entitled? I don't know. :/
Now regarding what you wrote. None of it is inherently wrong. You got the shape of the truth quite right i might just question the colors you choose to fill and the angle of display.
A lot of decisions were made that resulted in AW2 being an EGS exclusive. Most of it had to do with Remedy having the uncompromising David Fincher approach to directing, and Epic having money to burn. If Remedy wanted to just sell more copies all they had to do is give the game a wider release. That might've come at some cost cutting though and that's where their concern was. So here we are.
My takeaway was that gross profit was an afterthought for both companies. I still didn't want to give my money to Epic, so just decided I wouldn't play the game this time. Too bad. I wouldn't cry over it. I don't have to play everything. And then this bundle arrived. :)
Somebody at the top of the corporate ladder had to have know how HB operates. Somebody didn't care. A decision was made.
I wanted to try AW2 but only if I had a chance to do it legaly (I didn't want to pirate either). An opportunity arose. A decision was made.
Resulting in that decision EGS got 0.01$ and... <checks notes> "Save the Children" got 33$. Wow what a monster would do that? I guess nothing is black and white and it's all shades of gray. Was this morally good? Was it bad? I don't know. :/
Nothing weighs on my conscience though. :)
Not explicitly proud of it. Just trying to reach similar minded people. :)

Sadly, according to Timmy Tencent, Alan Wake 2 is never gonna release on Steam. That's too bad because it's an actually great game (Played some hours at a friend's place).
