Let me explain myself in a comment

I would recommend as soon as it's optimized, because on the actual scenario, it's unplayable unless you got a High-End computer.

There will be a new patch today, currently in pre-release test.Second "big" optimization since EA started.I had the opportunity to try it out and i would not buy it until they fix the performance issues. In the current state if you don't have a high end single GPU system, you had to lower too much sht to run it at 20-40fps(and look like a 2005game).This new patch will free up a lot of memory(3GB+ for servers 1+ for clients)and foliage optimization(biggest problem i think)

Other than that, the game is awesome, huge content, but it is early access survival game so the balance is changing every time, bugs etc.Check the forums today after patch released,if they fix the performance issues, try it.You can get refund now on steam if you play no more than 2 hours.

Let me tell you something son,

Il never again buy early access game so I cant judge it because I didnt play it ...yet..

First EA game I bought was Stomping Land, yea you all know what happend, lost my 24 euro on that shit ( I want my money back)

Second game was Life is Feudal, now at my opinion all those games with bunch of limited servers and pings are not worth (19,99+)
game wasnt what I expected and I will say clearly, that was fail purchases for me too.

Now for ARK it has been hyped to the sky, I will buy it and I will play it, just not while in EA.

Hell who dont like open world survival games :D

Greater work needs to be done... i bought the game a few days after release and still havent played more then 2 hours. The concept is good but the performance issues are really a deal breaker for me.
Even visually the scenario and characters look fine but the rest makes me want to puke.
Can't recommend it to anyone at this point.

Looks like every "Early Access" survival in Steam a.k.a. Forest,Rust and many others ... =\
Better play Unturned xD It's also "#early-access-survival" but it's free =P
P.S.: Just started playing Unturned and need some people to survive with ^^

Looks promising, put it in the whishlist and keep an eye on it. Once it's ready and released, decide. Do not preorder, please.

Some of my friends are playing it and they are pretty excited.
But the same happened with them with DayZ, Rust, 7 Days to Die and H1Z1. They start with great enthousiasm and eventually hop to a new game.
I think it might be fun if you have a regular group to play with.
(Not my kind of game though)

Stop buying Early Access survival games, please. You're just encouraging people to make more shitty ones and run away with the money. Please.

this but i think the problem lies more in those'' vote for this and u get free key kind of games'' wich make these games get to the greenlight and early acces stages in first place :)

Or like, you know, buy the shit, you're interrested in and if you don't like it then vote with your wallet by refunding it. EA or not.

Bought it just to try it and it run so bad on my computer (I got a refund). Seems to run bad on most computers as big YouTubers seems to have the graphics on very low as well. The gameplay might be good, but not being able to run it properly is quite a problem.

Also, maybe do what I did and just get a refund if it doesn't turn out to be good.
