Yes. Happened to me once a while back. But then I saw my game on cheap so I bought it.

Marked them as not received and left a message for both GA creators. One didn't even bother to respond and the other one offered a different game and asked to have the GA removed. I didn't accept the game and agreed for the GA to be removed.

I did this and found about it like a year later, support fixed it by switching the GA games.

Perfect opportunity for a poll , better skip it. Nothing poll related, always potatoes.
Never happened to me.

Yes. I was fairly new to the site and GA creator said he couldn't find the key for the GA he made, so he gave me a key for another game. I didn't want the game but I didn't want to put a knock on his account over a mistake, so I took the other key to appease him.
Didn't realise it was a problem until I got a suspension for not activating the game I 'won'. Luckily I never used the key for the other game so I asked him to delete the GA, and gave him back the key.
Played myself that day.

So you like SG gossips ?
Here is mine ;-)
Yes I have already received a wrong key.
But I had just won the game for this wrong key, so Steam client notified me I was already owning game (without displaying game name) for key I was trying to redeem... so I thought on that moment I had forgotten to give feedback... and I then did give received feedback on SG.
Later, I was denied from entering a ga for non-activated game... and I got by or I contacted the gifter who said me he switched keys with another GAs.
Case was then solved. He gave me the right key.
Hopefully for him, I was already owning (just for some hours actually) the game corresponding to the wrong key.

Had that once. Entered GA for one game, got a key for another that was given away free before.
Wasn't able to establish contact with the giver to set the record straight, so he/she got to carry a Not Received mark around...
(And at least the key I got wasn't some shitty Digital Homicide-level crap)

Once, i received a key for other game due to a duplication of keys in the giveaways (creator puts the same key in two giveaways by mistake). As I already had the game the key was unused and the givea way creator gave me the correct key and the other winner had no problems (as far as I know).

Hey!
Never happened to me, but i've giveaway a key that already used and managed to fix, and received a dup and it has been fixed aswell.
But, i'd like to know if it happened to someone, and what game you received instead the one that you entered for win!
Thank you, cute!
