Bump for solved, though I feel ashamed that I could not come to the solution with the sarcophagi myself. I was close to the right definition thanks to Multitran, but my intuition let me down and I decided to dig in a different direction. Thank you Gordon for another brain teaser!(not sure if this is the right connotation for the word "puzzle")!

Looks like the new hint helped 4 more past the crypt.
I feel so close and yet so far. Maths always let me down. I'm more language oriented, always have been.

Don't feel bad, I'm not sure real "maths" is involved. Or, at least, I cannot solve it and I am a mathematician XD. There are just too many possibilities - or too little adherence to the hints, at least in what I have thought. Keep trying, as I'll do =).

Oh Em Gee I did it. I am no number theorist and I have to admit I completely forgot about that - provided I ever heard about it (disclaimer for other readers - you do not need to be a mathematician to solve this, I guarantee it). Then I kept reasoning in the wrong way. Really lovely puzzle, by the way! Thanks for doing it and for all the hints!

Thanks. I'll keep trying. I feel I'm close so it would bug me to stop trying now.
and don't tempt the Puzzle Master, please. I'm having a hard enough time with these maths. A "real" maths puzzles would kill me.

Is it required to have solved episode 1 to get through the new chapter? I am stuck at the beginning already and I don't know if it's because I'm missing something obvious or if it's because I need to rely on information contained in the previous episodes

Chapter 3 is almost entirely standalone. There is only one question that requires you to know something from a prior chapter (it is not the first question either) and even then that question is not particularly difficult. You can do it, basically, so good luck!

Thanks :) I feel like I'm missing something big, which makes me feel so dumb sometimes but I'm probably not paying enough attention so i'll get back to it when I manage to sleep more than 4 hours. Sleepless nights tend to mess with my focus.
