How do I get rid of a trade offer with items no longer available?

A few days ago someone sent me a trade offer for cards. But before I could respond they must have either sold theirs or else crafted a badge because it says "Items now unavailable for trade." But it still shows up as 1 in my message notification thingy. So how do I get rid of that notification? It's annoying me.

if you're viewing it on the client, try checking the notification on a browser. and vice versa. it might work.

get a friend to propose a trade offer to you, then you reject it

It goes away after a week. Other than that, I don't know any other means to remove the notification.

as others said, get someone to send you a trade offer (anything will do), it will cancel the old one. once you refuse the new trade offer, your troubles will be over.... for now, at least...

It's happened to me many many times before. It goes away after some time. Just be patient.
