So for starters I would like to once again thank everyone who participated in my survey, I got a final score of 99 in the project which I am very happy with so thank you :)
And here are the results of the statistical analysis:
1). Of all the factors that I tested for using the survey, only 2 factors seem to have a significant effect on the number of games bought during Steam's holiday sales, and those are (in decreasing order of influence): A). Average number of hours per week spent playing Steam games, B). The number of games already in the Steam library.
2). All other factors had very little effect on the number of games bought, those being (in decreasing order of influence): PC power, number of games in wish-list, age, games finished and income.
3). However, it turns out that even using all the factors I chose combined, I can only explain up to 35% of all Steam sale purchases a person makes. Meaning the remaining 65% are explained by factors I haven't considered.
4). And so here is the formula that I got for predicting the average number of games a person will buy during the Steam holiday sale (Remember, its only 35% accurate):
Games Purchased = -5.07 + 0.0023(Number of Games in Library) + 0.4372(Hours per Week Playing Steam Games)
There is also a more complicated formula that will give you a prediction range. I can post that too if anyone is interested in it.

Hello, people of this fine community.
I would like to ask for your help in collecting data for my finals project in statistical implementation.
For the project, I am allowed to choose any subject matter that interests me, So I chose to focus on the number of steam games people buy during the Steam holiday sale.
The following survey, which is anonymous, will question you on matters that I believe affect the number of games you buy during holiday sales. Some of the questions are personal, like what is your age and income. If you feel uncomfortable sharing this information then feel free to back out of the survey.

Good idea of topic for stats. Took the survey but I wasn't sure what to answer for the PC because I'm currently stuck with an old potato since my gaming laptop started getting hot enough to fry eggs when i play so I answered with my usual laptop (anyway, i'll be replacing as soon as I go back to work!)

Well here's the formula:

But now that I think about it, this requires some matrix calculations with the matrix of answers from the survey which about 80 people answered. So it would be way simpler if you just gave me the numbers and I ran them through the code.

No problem.
At 6 hours the average is -1.104 with a range between [-4.414, 2.206].
At 13 the average is 1.956 with a range between [-0.992, 4.904].
And at 20 the average is 5.016 with a range between [1.998, 8.034].

with today number of my steam account, I should purchase 39.55 games :D

lol, honestly no way I buy that many games in one sale!

Like you said the average is about 39 and the range is between [26.367, 51.833]
