How many GOOD pixelated retro style games are there on Steam? How many GOOD games in general are on Steam?

I DON'T KNOW!

But I am trying to find out by playing and exploring them! Reporting back to you whether they are worth your time and/or $$$.

I need your support while doing so, and the fact is, I am doing it FOR YOU, since I want to let you know which games to play and which to avoid!!! My goal is to give every game I play a fair shake, while giving the most honest review I can :)

Please join me in this endeavor, discover GREAT new games along the way and even win a few that you can play for yourself! You don't have to worry about being too active in the community, but be sure to watch out for announcements that can get you nice schwag along the way ;)

Lots of curators] are focused on the mainstream, but what about the simple gaming we used to love and grew up with?

Or, maybe you did not grow up with, but missed it and would like a guide through the mounds of crap games, in order to spend time appreciating the great ones?

Steam has become a market place with probably more bad games than good, so I am trying to weed them out and help people focus on the fun of gaming.

Please join me as I curate pixel art games and share all the while!. All I ask is that you follow these simple Rules if you wish to be a part of this community :)

Join the group to be a part of exclusive GAs and be sure to follow the curation . When joining, please go to the Rules link, read them quickly, follow them and acknowledge in the comments :)

Also, be sure to keep an eye out for exclusive group GAs

Good luck.
Considering there are new pixel games added to Steam almost every day, it'll be quite the task to try playing them all and keeping up afterwards. That said; looks like you've already gone through quite a few pixel games.

Cheers!

I have about 120+ in my back log that I plan to get through and review...Also have developers sending me new ones to explore.

I have discovered a few new cool ones along the way that I would not have done so if not for exploring the curation path ;)

I hope you discover some great games along the way as well :)

Thanks for joining! There will be an exclusive game from your wishlist coming your way in the near future ;)

Please be sure to invite your friends to follow the curation.

Within the Curation page, you will see a section called lists...Here I have categorized each game into different lists...Absolute favs, adventures, rogue-like, platform...

That way you can see which games fit you favorite genre...

Absolute favs ov course I think are great games.

What do you like to play?

If you like platformers and you enjoyed metroid, on of my favorites is Elliot Quest...Awesome game, expansive, beautiful pixels, great little leveling system, awesome level design and over all just a great little world and story to traverse :)

You can get Fez for $1 during winter sales...That is a steal!

Risk of Rain for $2.50 is also great buy :)

My curators page will always show a list of which of the games on the list are currently on sale :)

Wadjet Eye's catalog (I see you favorably reviewed a couple already)
This terrific platform adventure

Sorry you didn't enjoy Freedom Planet. I thought it was super fun.

Not every person will like every "great" game...It is in the eye of the behonder as they say ;)

Never heard of Mystik Belle, looks cool and added to my list, thanks for sharing!

I have nearly all Wadjet games, I like most, but not a big fan of Blackwell...Shardlight is high on my list :)

Also I'm not sure I like the way you administrate the group. GA for referals to friends, so much links redircting to the same page.

I have never done a steam group before and I wanted to make it a little fun for those who joined up early in support.

I thought that it would be fun to give out some games.

I have some desired games that I would like to share exclusive with this group and hope to have a small set of members to get the opportunity, so I thought about a simple motivator to share with friends.

You are not obligated to join in that particular event to be a part of the group and to join in the Group specific GAs.

I appreciate your input :)

Nice !
I see we like the same kinds of games.
I was gonna suggest Out There Somewhere, but I see you already recommended it.
You already reviewed Pink Hour, but you could also do Kero Blaster.
Castle in the Darkness is nice too.

Both on my list ;) Thanks for the heads up, I had forgotten about Castle in the Darkness though.

Out There Somewhere is simple concept, shot game, but very enjoyable.

Hope you join the group and follow my curation.

Hey, look at that. Your OP is less aggressive than the first time I read it. Now you don't link 10times the same link over and over again. Have a virtual cookie for that.

But I quickly flew over your reviews and there are at least two cases where I can't comprehend the argumentation. So I will just take it as us having different tastes and judgement criterias. So I don't gain anything by following you.

Each to their own :)

Thanks for checking it out and giving a chance :)

Love to hear your feedback and differing opinion on those cases :)
