Since when i try to open the single player, it says "iw5sp.exe stopped working", i think i will have to re-download the single player game, can i delete it and keep playing the multiplayer? or will i have to download both MP and SP again? (im posting this here instead of Steam forum because it fails ._.)

If in your library it has two different games like Modern Warfare 3:Singleplayer and Modern Warfare 3:Multiplayer then yes you'll be able to

If it's just "Modern Warfare 3" all in one then no

That's kinda weird, i had only the MP installed and never had a single problem.
Did you verified the cache?

The files required to run the multiplayer part came with the single player part. The multiplayer part use the same texture for single player

I quite remember that i could play with only MP part. I don't have time to download the game, but i'm pretty sure of it. The same applies for BO1 and BO2.

No you won't. The multiplayer part of the game use the texture, engine of the single player. Imagine if you have those for the single player and for the multiplayer. You need to have both installed because key files required are with the single player.
