Is having all (or at least, most) of the DLC required to be able to truly enjoy the Borderlands series?

I would say you can't because of one very botched thing - lvl scaling.
DLCs are unbalancing flow of the whole game. If you want to enjoy them you have to
a) block lvl cap to 50 and play them after beating game second time (in TVHM)
b) play them on UVHM but this have several con like you have to beat the game twice (not everyone like this), higher difficult, you need to use slag in B2 (some people find this annoying especially when you are playing solo).
Overall DLC in Borderlands seriers are cool. DLC like Claptastic Voyage, Dr. Ned, Tina, Headhunters are awesome and they give you a lots of fun but still lvl scaling is idiotic ( but nothing is worts than poorly maded PC port including implementation of PhysX).

Having friends to play with is required to truly enjoy the game. I played the first BL with two friends. I had to play BL2 alone and it wasn't as fun.

General knoxx is one good DLC for borderlands and claptrap revolutions too (but this is more like a big joke, being general knoxx a better ending for the first game).
Borderlands 2 DLC's are more or less story related but Tiny Tina's is very good, and the rest are okay if you like bordelrands

So, since the first time I did this it didn't work so well (considering the region restriction and confusing title), I figured I should try again with another region restricted giveaway, but with a more straight-forward title and a poll added for shits and giggles (though I am legitimately interested in your opinions).
