BUG: Creating Giveaways white page/duplicate submissions!

On my own site I added some code to prevent this from happening.

In short:

• I put a HASH in the php session when the user starts the process of making a giveaway.
• When the user submits the form on the last page, I check if the hash is still set.
• On a successful insert into the database, the hash is removed.
• If the user does a refresh on this page, the hash won't be there anymore and thus a 2nd insert is prevented.

Yeah it's pretty annoying to get stuck with a deleted giveaway because of a site issue =/

Yeah, this happened to me four times today before it went through. I was just about to post a thread about it when it finally worked.

I had it happen once, it's normally better to just go back to ensure that you don't duplicate your giveaway.

Never happened to me. Here's a tip though, don't refresh when that happens. Instead, re-create the giveaway.
That way, you'll avoid creating duplicate giveaways.

Copying the description before creating the giveaway is recommended, too. That way, you can just paste it if you must re-create the giveaway.
